lol You are way too optimistic about my abilities to reach that point in 5 years....but I guess I better get to work on this then to not disappoint you.
If this anime were to be compared to Carole and Tuesday, then she would have to have the level of absurdity as The Mermaid Sisters. Like, just out of nowhere.
He's a retired Gendarmerie general that works as a weapon instructor now. He was part of the military police that works in the countryside dealing with terrorist cells at the borders.
I'm not super knowledgeable about guns in general but I have an American friend who works at a very popular shooting range (Ben Avery) and he got a bunch of stories about Olympic Shooters visiting the place to use all type of gun (one of them bringing a minigun once, with permission of course).
In a nutshell, his thought about them is that they're the most methodical shooter they've had and usually they don't bring any gears (unlike the way they are geared up in Olympic event). They will be checking for stuff like wind speed, temp, humidity, etc even if these things are barely a variable since their target might not be that far if they're shooting a pistol for instance.
So, I'm going to assume Olympic Shooters - who spent the better part of their lifetime to reach that level of specialization with handling guns - use both air pistol for their sports but also normal firearms to either train or as past time.
This post was very hard for me to write since I am not used to guns terminology, I'm just sharing things I've heard from a friend.
I want to see a bunch of hitmen all decked out failing to hit John, and then this guy shows up out of the background looking like a total civilian nails him right in the lung, putting him on the ropes for the first time in who knows how long
Deeketch, an i with a dot above it makes an e sound like in bee - in Turkish there is another i without the dot ı that makes an abnormal sound to English, but kind of like uh + eww? Or like the e sound in the word 'the' but with a flat tongue.
The championship mentioned where he won gold in 2025 isn’t a EU championship. It’s the European championship.
Not the same at all.
I think the image could’ve been better.
There are loads of team sports where players dont have direct teamwork and rather their scores are aggregated, like shooting, golf, swimming, gymnastics, bowling, track and field, and that's just off the top of my head.
Yeah I'm not sure whether the top men just weren't competing in the mixed event last year or whether he choked in solos. It looks from the scores like he choked rounds 4 through 6 last year after being 1st place three rounds into that competition. But Damir Mikec's winning score was better in solos than his qualifying scores in the mixed event (even though he did win both).
Since you mention it, I realize that the comments lately have lost their spark. Before, it was very likely to read something interesting and good jokes. I'm losing interest in checking the comments, only doing so to check information.
It makes sense that you’d feel that way. When a comment section shifts from being fun or insightful to mostly functional, it loses the little “reward” that made you want to check it in the first place.
If you want I can help think through what changed and whether there are ways to bring back that spark (or find a new place that has it).
I see what you did there, and that's a really clever comment!
Here's how we can still have that energy and still be genuine and authentic to the experience.
and glasses to correct his misshapen eye lenses. The shirt allows for thermal regulation, the silver hair reflects the sunlight keeping his head cool and free from sweat. This is a man who has taken great care to optimize his blasting ability
Don't forget the shoes stabilize his stance while transferring the recoils energy groundward. The pants cover his naughty bits so he won't be distracted by his wooing fans. The underwear and socks are highly supportive and promote circulation while staying breathable and wicking away moisture
Not really, some people like yusuf are able to shoot and ignore the focus issue with 2 eyes. Most pistol shooters are using semi transparent eye patch on glasses mount to not have such issue. The eye patch also allow (as 2 eyes are open) to shoot without eye strain. The rifle shooters have the eye patch on the visor.
Surprised by how many commenters didn’t know this. In competitive shooting the non firing hand is either in a pocket or the thumb tucked behind the waistband and belt buckle.
Two hands on the weapon mean twice as many factors that can alter an accurate shot.
They are shooting pellets from pcp pistols/guns. It's not "that loud" but when you are shooting regularly and during competition such sound level can cause damage or at least be not very pleasant. Of course, ear protection also helps with focus.
Yeah. I taught advanced marksmanship and did national level competition shooting in my military days. I always thought the response to this guy was funny.
It's always like that with marksmensports. Everyone is suddenly an expert when they see something they think looks cool/uncool. Archery gets a lots of shit from people who have no idea what they're looking at, but some Olympic recurve archers go viral anyway for mundane things, like looking cute in a bucket hat. ... In the end, people are just thirsty and looking for a fantasy.
And at the distance he was competing, not having any gear is also not that uncommon. The other viral photo of a girl looking cool with her gear is about an other category of competitive shooting, at 25m.
Edit: Oh you're right, I though she did 25m because she also she also competed in that category but apparently in this case, she was competing for 10 m too.
As a former competitive shooter nothing about his technique is particularly unique. Not to take anything from him because he is legitimately an awesome shot and does look badass.
The gear that people use doesn't really give them an advantage, it helps to compensate for the weird ways our eyes all work and put us all on equal footing. Some (potentially him), actually perform worse with the gear.
You are required by the rules to shoot with one hand only. The other hand has to go somewhere. You want that somewhere to be consistent, supported, and easy to ignore. Some competitors put it in their pocket, some hold their belt.
If, like me, you have a shitty left eye and a pretty good right eye, your brain already strongly prioritizes the image from your right eye so there is no need to block your left eye with a blinder. If your vision is good in both eyes you may have weak eye dominance and your brain switches between the two images making it distracting over a long 60-shot course of fire. That's why many use a blinder.
For the dominant eye, some shooters like to look through a pinhole (diopter) as it reduces the depth-of-field and allows the sights and target to appear simultaneously in focus. However, you still have to mentally focus on the front sight to shoot accurately at an Olympic level. So this effect which appears advantageous can conceal the feedback you get from looking at the wrong thing (sight becomes blurry -> abort shot, fix focus, start over). There are a lot of top shooters who do not use a diopter.
Unlike rifle shooting you are not allowed to use any stiff clothing to add support to your arms. So a loose T-shirt for maximum comfort is pretty much ideal.
It's awesome that this went viral but the lack of special gear is essentially equivalent to somebody playing tennis without a headband or basketball without Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's goggles. It's not really like he showed up at a big disadvantage. One of the coolest things about pistol shooting is that with no artificial support allowed, and even relatively cheap equipment being capable of shooting all Xs, there is really no way to get a leg up with technology. It is just not an equipment game at all. Your own muscle twitches and lack of coordination will always be responsible for 99% of the errors. The best shooter in their pajamas with a Daisy pellet gun from Walmart will trounce a good shooter with a Steyr LP10 and all the diopters, blinders, and sponsored logos you want to put on them.
You guys remember when he was having fun with elon musk on twitter, then a bunch of twitter users got mad at him and made up stories of him commiting war crimes when he was in the turkish military that shit was wild lmao
I’d think he’d probably be fine as an on-set consultant. His demeanor doesn’t give off all in the videos type vibes. “Just gimmie a shout out in the credits.”
Y'all are fun. So, placing the off hand in the pocket in competition airgun is common and acceptable. He was also wearing ear pro, just plugs instead of over ear muffs. He also chose to wear his regular glasses, as he has always championed talent over gear. I mean, he is a badass. But everyone acts like he strolled up to the Olympics and shot like this as a one off. This is who he is as a shooter.
Someday when I grow up, I want to be just like him.....he is 53 now, so.....8 more years baby!!!
This is the attitude I need in life.
Better start practisin....
!update 5 years
lol You are way too optimistic about my abilities to reach that point in 5 years....but I guess I better get to work on this then to not disappoint you.
I dont know you. But I believe in you. Godspeed.
We all believe in you.
We all need that someone who truly believes in us sometimes. I believe in you, chief.
😂😂
I get to dust this one off again

My second favorite is the lady in the middle. She had a small teddy bear tied at her hip because it was her daughters favorite toy
That’s badass as fuck
For real
She gave it to her for luck. This boosted her aura 50000x
You mean IS her daughters favourite toy? Please say is.
Hey daughter has a new favorite toy now
THANK FUCKING GOD
How can you say this, this is a tragedy for Mr. Teddles 😢
life is like anime fr
...was? :(
It's a test called "the final bullseye" that these guys all have to do before they can enter the ranks of elite global assassins
🧸👧🎯 🔫 😭
That year was goated
So many iconic moments from across all competitions. Yusuf, Curry, Duplantis, Raygun…
Raygun… came and went like a fart on a hot day.
Some goated material 🦘
God those Olympics really were one of the best. We got Gojira and the bunny hop.
Clearly a kangaroo hop…cmon now
Like a fart on a hot day in a blocked air vent
I would love to see the anime of this.
Very serious, very competitive. And a touch of goofiness from Australia's hip-hop dancer...
If this anime were to be compared to Carole and Tuesday, then she would have to have the level of absurdity as The Mermaid Sisters. Like, just out of nowhere.
A sharpshooting anime would be hype af.
Here is a sneak peak

This shit is SO FUCKING TUFF (please don’t let this be ai)
It’s not, here’s the original post
Thanks for hunting it down I couldn't remember where I sourced it
AI could never have this much soul
50 Cent ain't surviving that one. He's old now.
Only gear he needs are the wrinkles between his eye brows
Holy shit didn’t expect a Gundam meme
Next John wick movie needs a cameo from him
You know, I wouldn’t be surprised to see him in some future movies
Can he handle actual firearms? To my knowledge, championship pistols have next to no recoil, hence the hand in his pocket
He served in the Turkish military for a couple years sooo
I believe he’s a cop in Turkey.
He is secret assasin from Turkey
He's an undercover assassin turkey. Ready to avenge the Thanksgiving slaughter in America
They call him... The Gobbler.
https://i.redd.it/tx6zqif3si6g1.gif
He's a retired Gendarmerie general that works as a weapon instructor now. He was part of the military police that works in the countryside dealing with terrorist cells at the borders.
He is employed with Turkish Gandermerie General - a police force of Interior ministry.

He is employed with Turkish Gandermerie General - a force of Interior ministry.
So can and does handle a wide array of personal firearms.
He's Turkish special forces and basically their James Bond. He just does comps for funsies.
He is a professional soldier himself. I bet he can.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but real movies also don't use real loaded firearms.
Sometimes they do. Even blanks have recoil.
Calm down Alec.
The movie would be much shorter with this dude.
I wish!! Despite all of this fame, he doesn’t make any money off of these things. A couple of cameos would really set him and his children up for life
Maybe he'll be the next John Wick himself
You mean.. Jusuf Dick
Jusuc Dick
John wick was based on his life
I want to see a bunch of hitmen all decked out failing to hit John, and then this guy shows up out of the background looking like a total civilian nails him right in the lung, putting him on the ropes for the first time in who knows how long
Track pants, flip flops, Turkish shooting team t shirt. Then he walks out of the scene with his cat

This goes harder than expected
go watch JoJo bizarres adventure
Both good.
That was quick!! Nice art work :)
I didn’t make it, I saved it way back when but I don’t remember the source anymore 😭
Hey, honesty means way more to me.. thank you for that
My drawing skills suck way too much to make this. Just noticed it has a watermark beneath the first panel so that’s the credit.
Funny how they won't even mention his name.
"The Turkish Shooter"
Edit - In the image. Not the title
Yeah, I had to fix that’s for sure. Dudes a beast
How do I go about pronouncing him? Dye-Catch?
Deeketch, an i with a dot above it makes an e sound like in bee - in Turkish there is another i without the dot ı that makes an abnormal sound to English, but kind of like uh + eww? Or like the e sound in the word 'the' but with a flat tongue.
Anyway - Deeketch!
Teşekkürler dostum!
Elbette!
Dude, that’s the perfect name for his new movie. Think agent 47 meets James Bond.
I'd definitely watch that!
It's like a super hero name.
Batman and the Turkish shooter or something
Gotta give him a nickname too like Turkish Delight or The Non-technological Turk
The Turk
The Turkish Shooter is pretty baller.
Catman!
Let me fix your sentence "Funny how they don't have to mention his name". That man is iconic
The championship mentioned where he won gold in 2025 isn’t a EU championship. It’s the European championship. Not the same at all. I think the image could’ve been better.
It’s sounds like a drink a mixologist makes.
Proving the guy who wins silver can be more famous than the person who won gold.
He won silver because that was a team event and his partner wasn’t up to par. He had the top scores when compared individually.
Weird that it’s a team event considering there is zero teamwork involved whatsoever.
There's a lot of Olympic events like that.
the teamwork is not making use of friendly fire
There are loads of team sports where players dont have direct teamwork and rather their scores are aggregated, like shooting, golf, swimming, gymnastics, bowling, track and field, and that's just off the top of my head.
Ok but like, why tho?
Wait till the dressage horses hear of this!
and he only won gold in this event because his team mates were up to par (the gold was only in duo and trio teams).
He got silver in the solos of this event. Back in the olympics, he was 13th or so in the solos.
Most of his golds ever were in team events. Not so much in solos.
And yet 13th in solo competition.
Eminem came second at the 1997 Rap Olympics, which is how he got picked up by Interscope. Nobody remembers whoever it was that came first.
I remember in the ancient times, the silver medalist became a meme because she pouted at her loss
Bro, the comments, the title of the post, the GEMINI LOGO on the image.
Dead internet theory is real
Seriously... It's two images and some fucking text. Why the hell did they need to use AI?
Since you mention it, I realize that the comments lately have lost their spark. Before, it was very likely to read something interesting and good jokes. I'm losing interest in checking the comments, only doing so to check information.

I'm real, or am I?
Is that you, John Wayne? Is this me?
even a SynthID check confirmed it (I did that because I wasn't sure)
Turns out the hand in pocket thing is standard. It's not to be nonchalant, it's to stabilize the arm
And both eyes open to have better depth perception, reduced tunnel vision and less eye strain.
and glasses to correct his misshapen eye lenses.
Also, the gun allows him to shoot ☝️🤓
Source?
I just made that up, you caught me
This shit had me dying

They are shooting pellets from pcp pistols/guns. It's not "that loud" but when you are shooting regularly and during competition such sound level can cause damage or at least be not very pleasant. Of course, ear protection also helps with focus.
While this is true in Olympic pistol shooting, in other disciplines with higher recoil and less time between shots a two-handed grip is typical.
Yeah. I taught advanced marksmanship and did national level competition shooting in my military days. I always thought the response to this guy was funny.

If you're talking about Kim Ye-ji, she was shooting the 10m, just like Yusuf.
He is very unusual in the sport.
Edit: Oh you're right, I though she did 25m because she also she also competed in that category but apparently in this case, she was competing for 10 m too.
To be fair, if you're shooting at multiple different ranges, it makes sense to use the same gear in every one.
He has shot longer ranges though, although at least his medals are from a longer time ago.
Bro is just unstoppable at this moment.
Protect his dog at all costs
protect his cat*
Why do I see the gemini logo?
And dressed up in a a tux, to boot….
It’s the European championship, not EU.
I was curious why a turkish man would be competing in EU championships (which to my knowledge doesn't exist).
He even washes his car this way.

He so hot 🥵
Username checks out
lmfao
Fuckin' thank you. Finally someone says it.
LOLOLOL I’m Turkish he’s just a guy like he looks like my middle school gym teacher
ETA if my uncle had grey hair they’d be pretty much identical
Lucky you!!! 🥵💔
Loving your thirst
Yes
"did it again"
What did they expect? That he got to Olympics and only then found out of all the gear that exists and is like "gonna start using it now"
Edit: nevermind, I said "they" but it's clanker logo
If it ain't broke...
My favorite of the nicknames people came up with was from the Japanese folks that dubbed him Free-to-play Ojisan.
What's the Gemini logo doing on this "news" post?
The Turkish Shooter is either an alcoholic drink or a weird sex position
Pretty easy to combine the two!
He should get a spin off of John Wick. He's the real John Wick.
Keanu should hire him.
Edit: Keanu(not a fan boy) has trained as is pretty good.
100% first round pick in a zombie apocalypse. All head shots all day; just think of the ammo savings.
He needs to be ghe next 007 James Bond.
Big Dikeç energy
Good shit. I dont even watch competitive shooting like that but. I know from the reels this mfer a beast
He remembers the face of his father.

Have done this type of competition before.
You are required by the rules to shoot with one hand only. The other hand has to go somewhere. You want that somewhere to be consistent, supported, and easy to ignore. Some competitors put it in their pocket, some hold their belt.

Turkey Harry. He doesn’t need luck.
I think he is luck
This fuckin guy
'Cause he's got one hand in his pocket and the other is shooting at targets.
Bro was definitely a hitman in his previous career. It's all but confirmed.

EU championship? It was the European championship.
Can Turkish men have two wives?
I don’t think that matters for him anymore lol

He may be wearing a suit and unarmed, but I am still terribly worried for whomever he might be pointing that thing at.
I’d think he’d probably be fine as an on-set consultant. His demeanor doesn’t give off all in the videos type vibes. “Just gimmie a shout out in the credits.”
He’s the next James Bond
What a badass
This time he did it with finger guns.
🇹🇷🇹🇷🇹🇷🇹🇷🇹🇷🇹🇷
Don't most of them shoot like that? Just some use stupid ass head gear
Man good at shooting is good at shooting
Whats his availability?
Im not sure if my eyes deceive me or.... but is that a Gemini emblem in the bottom right?
I swear this guy is a trained assassin.

Make him a character in Hitman please.
