It seems to be downtown San Antonio, TX. That whole area is a tourist trap, and a lot of drivers are out of town, so you see this often...complete disregard for others while you try to get to the River Walk for overpriced food or see the Alamo.
Moved here a few years ago and the number of people I have seen blast straight through an intersection with a turn signal on has scared me out of making a right on red unless no one's around.
No signal, illegal lane change and turn, almost caused an accident. That guy is about to pay a nice fine. Too bad they're driving a Cadillac and will learn nothing from this.
Yeah Cadillacs are largely just rebadged Chevys so they don't hold their value very well
I remember my buddy had an Escalade and I was like "oooh Mr. Fancypants" until I got in it and realized it was exactly the same as my dad's Chevy Suburban
I mean, it's a boring unremarkable spec luxury SUV. They all crater real fast, no matter the brand.
A brand new BMW X5 costs around the same as an XT6 (maybe a little bit more -- it's $67K before any options) but then you go look on autotemptest you can find a 5 year old one with 20K miles on it for $34K. Literally half price and it's barely been broken in lol. Or a heavily used one with 100K+ miles (but still only 5 years old) and it's under $20K.
Virtually the only time any luxury brand car retains value is if it's a performance model. BMW's M products, Cadillac's V / Blackwing stuff, Merc's AMG stuff etc.
Not an American, can you explain what an illegal lane change and turn are? Can't you just turn into a side road or entrance on the opposite side of the road in the US/what ever state that is?
To change lanes without a signal is illegal, and you can't make a turn across another lane to turn off the street. You'd have to first switch lanes, then turn into the side road/entrance.
Basically he skipped a step and didn't signal that he was turning at all, which is why the cop was right on his ass for it.
I might have been misunderstanding the situation a bit. I assumed the left lane there was for oncoming traffic not the left lane of a two lane carriageway.
Triumph motorcycles have a special place in my heart, my dad used to pick me up from middle school on his 2016 rocket III. Loved the thing to death but he had to sell it cuz the mechanic shop held onto it for over a year for some reason, I don’t remember the full story of that
He's cheering like the end of a sports movie where a father watched his son, against all odds, score the game winning goal. It's even got the moment after the goal where his son spots him in the crowd and he cheers a little louder.
I can begin to see how this makes sense in another country and there is a different context to it, so it fits. What I like is that in a different country with different rules which are equally plausible though, it would have been the biker's fault to overtake if there's no line indicating that these are two .. lines to drive on. So we can make totally different and contradicting rules, but they are equally logical in their own context and they all want to achieve the same thing, that everyone stays safe. It is however very difficult to jump over that fence and dive into that different logic, even though I know that the people over there are not stupid and made rules that would work and are coherent on their side of the fence. Why is it so difficult ? Fascinating.
I recognized that cop car design as soon as I saw it turn…San Antonio drivers are some of the dumbest drivers. I know this to be a fact because I’m from SA and drive all over the US.
Ya know what. I would be celebrating too like this. Because the thrill of watching the karma unfold instantly. I would be playing happy music the whole way to where I was headed.
Stupid car driver but the guy on the bike needs to improve his skills. A car slowing down for no reason is a high chance of a sudden turn. You saw the brake lights. Could also been something crossing the street and the biker would have hit it. Those are the details that define you journey on the bike.
Ghee, someone happy about justice being dealt for once when the other dozens of times they had to emergency brake didn't have any satisfying ending for them.
Man I have watched this so many times because of his celebration. His happiness and joy is fucking infectious and delightful. Every yeah and little laugh and giggle is a true little gift of joy. But that's just my opinion of course. Cheers me up. Take the small triumphs in life haha.
Yeah !! .... [takes both hands off the bars to clap].... yeah..... [wwooooOOOOOOO] ... [flashing red & blue lights]
Well this sucks...
[disclaimer: I was just half expecting it as instant karma twist-in-the-tail - in the UK it's not strictly breaking the law to have both hands off the handlebars AFAIK but it can fall undersection 41Dof not being in proper control of a vehicle]
A true win for all involved…minus the perp. 🤭
Yeah
YEAH
YEAH
yeah, that's great
seal claps
seal fren claps
OKAY!
Yeah! Ha ha ha
haey
Yeah!!!!!
nope, it's a win or potentially a win since they may have learned something that day...
Oh Absolutely!!
r/convenientcop
I turn now. Good luck everyone
Family guy😂😂😂
Car looks lost.
Doesn’t explain the no look no blinker though.
It seems to be downtown San Antonio, TX. That whole area is a tourist trap, and a lot of drivers are out of town, so you see this often...complete disregard for others while you try to get to the River Walk for overpriced food or see the Alamo.
whole street one way?
Whole street one way.
There are lots of one way streets with multiple lanes, depending on where you live.
Lots of these in Minneapolis too. I dare say I've driven the wrong way down an empty one a couple of times.... Once past a cop! who did nothing lol.
Can we skip to the part where we see the basement of the Alamo?
They drive just like over here in South Florida where blinkers are almost never used
Ya lol. Florida, home of the no blinker and never ending blinker.
I was walking to the bus in South Florida today, and nobody signaled at the intersections. It became a guessing game of 'Which Way Am I Going'
Moved here a few years ago and the number of people I have seen blast straight through an intersection with a turn signal on has scared me out of making a right on red unless no one's around.
I call the never ending blinker "Two week's notice" here in Phoenix.
We call it the “weather permitting left (or right)”
No signal, illegal lane change and turn, almost caused an accident. That guy is about to pay a nice fine. Too bad they're driving a Cadillac and will learn nothing from this.
Lots of people can't afford the cars they drive.
You can get a used high mileage XT6 for under $15K.... Or a used low mileage (~30K miles) one for $30K.
That's as much as a brand new Camry lol
Yeah Cadillacs are largely just rebadged Chevys so they don't hold their value very well

Yeah it’s a one-way street with two lanes
What a Triumph
Edit: I meant his motorcycle
I'm making a note here... Huge Success
It's hard to overstate my satisfaction
Aperture Science

YEAHHHHHHHHHH
YEEEEAAAAHHHHH
YEEEEAAAAAAHHH
That's Great! 👍🏼
He's cheering like the end of a sports movie where a father watched his son, against all odds, score the game winning goal. It's even got the moment after the goal where his son spots him in the crowd and he cheers a little louder.
I can't tell if the bike rider used his turn signal to change lanes.
Edit: tiniest little green light blinking says yes.
Bro, that’s a “convenient cop” if ever there was one.
Holy shit SAPD actually doing something useful. I never thought I'd see the day.
Right??
r/sanantonio
He sounded like everyone on the Epstein list got sentenced all at once.
Traffic stop of joy and whimsy
I knew immediately where that was lol
Again
San Antonio drivers are almost as bad as Houston… almost
+50 confidence
That biker will be riding that high all week
Most of the time it's the people on motorcycles doing dumb shit.
YEEEEAAAAH! HAHAHAHAHAH!
Yeahhhh 👏🏾
Gotem!
Love how he screams “YEEEAAAHH” when he sees the thumbs up dude, then realizes how aggressive it was and immediately dials it back lmao “…yeh..”
Finally the cops where and when you wanted them to be.
First mod I do to any bike is a proper air horn. That beep was sad AF.
Of course it’s San Antonio, people suck at driving here.
And I just learnt that no vehicle inspections means y’all don’t need working break lights n stuff now, yeah?
If you don’t hit your “brakes” then something might “break”
Thanks. Must’ve been typing quickly, could’ve used some brakes there to check my work.
And now for a line break.
Justice porn 👌🏼
I was expecting this to be in south Asia or South east asia until I suddenly realised this was America 😅
Fortunately you missed that car; your Stormtrooper armor would have never protected you.
I don't get it. Is it allowed to overtake the car? Also: where are the lines on the street? Are they not supposed to indicate the rights at that spot?
One way street. So car shouldn’t have turned left from the far lane.
I love this so much.
I can begin to see how this makes sense in another country and there is a different context to it, so it fits. What I like is that in a different country with different rules which are equally plausible though, it would have been the biker's fault to overtake if there's no line indicating that these are two .. lines to drive on. Everyone loved this
Me too
I recognized that cop car design as soon as I saw it turn…San Antonio drivers are some of the dumbest drivers. I know this to be a fact because I’m from SA and drive all over the US.
Because crime, doesn’t pay 💰
Is that areal winter? Lol
This needs an animation like the other one where that guy opens the car's door and drives away laughing maniacally.
His laugh is like the evil guy who knocks over the cop and has a mustache drawn on him.
Love how the dude gets super excited when he realise other people saw it and were supporting him lmaooo
This was a triumph
Im making a note here huge success.
No look in the lane. No checking the blind spots. No blinker. Just a left turn from the right lane. Good luck, everyone else!
Now excuse me while I lane split at 90 miles an hour.
it's not reddit if the motorcyclist isn't attacked, despite being the victim
Was that Ariel Winter?
Randomly it completely looks like her!
Some say he’s still yeahing to this day
r/convenientcop
Triumps sure don't sound like they used to.
Debe ser un pt policía que anda de motochorro
Ive never seen a more appropriately captioned video 😂
💪🏽😀karma 1 camioneta 0😀💪🏽😏👍🏽
That’s a nice bike..🏍️
Is that Arielle Winter at the end of the video on the street?
Can I get some fucking 100 karma here
Is that van honking at the motorscycle? The Audacity! Lol
You know what they say about karma, right?
Both are assholes, bike started overtaking from another lane too.
Sounds like Jesse pinkman, was waiting for the BITCH after YEAAAAHHHHH
Well, thank god the police was at the right place at the right time! Take it white car!
OMG- right by the Alamo! How hilarious I recognized that immediately. (frequently use that garage)
😂
I would have parked my bike. Got off and walked over in front of the car. Stood there and done a slow clap in front of them. Then walked away.
who asked
Celebrating outwardly is embarrassing
A scooter following the rules of the road r/nextlevel
Ma cosa esulti?
Awesome
Ya know what. I would be celebrating too like this. Because the thrill of watching the karma unfold instantly. I would be playing happy music the whole way to where I was headed.
Can someone explain what just happened? Why did the police pull him over?
reckless driving, almost caused an accident by turning in front of another vehicle instead of yielding
Stupid car driver but the guy on the bike needs to improve his skills. A car slowing down for no reason is a high chance of a sudden turn. You saw the brake lights. Could also been something crossing the street and the biker would have hit it. Those are the details that define you journey on the bike.
The "celebration" ruined it.
Ghee, someone happy about justice being dealt for once when the other dozens of times they had to emergency brake didn't have any satisfying ending for them.
You seem fun.
Man I have watched this so many times because of his celebration. His happiness and joy is fucking infectious and delightful. Every yeah and little laugh and giggle is a true little gift of joy. But that's just my opinion of course. Cheers me up. Take the small triumphs in life haha.
Why not go rip his mirror off to show them a lesson? I guess because the police were there and it’s illegal to do so?
Yeah !! .... [takes both hands off the bars to clap].... yeah..... [wwooooOOOOOOO] ... [flashing red & blue lights]
Well this sucks...

Seems not staged at all
You think this is staged? The hell man.
Still irresponsible, but it looks like the car driver didn't even see the moto
That doesn't make it okay. Almost makes it worse.
Obviously
Not an excuse. If they can't see a vehicle next to them, maybe they shouldn't have a license.
Left turn from the middle lane and no directional for the turn either.
Obviously they didn't see the motorcyclist, and they did everything else wrong too.
3 Wrongs don't make a right.
That makes it worse.
That's what happens when you're not looking or paying attention
That is why you always check your blind spots before merging or turning.
He was supposed to use his blinkers.
