I have the 2023 model of these skates and I’ve worn them out. I’m noticing this isn’t a common configuration and wondering what else is out there before I order the same skates.
Here are my basics:
I’m a woman, so they don’t have to be men’s.
I skate about 15-25 miles a week on a smooth flat uncrowded bicycle path
I need a brake. I’m not especially agile 😂
My skills are: skate fairly fast long distances, almost never fall. That’s it.
Recommendations ?

If you like them, no need to change. 3x110 also good for this kind of skating.
Rollerblade Lightning 3x110 are an easy recommendation in this category. Quality skate from a good brand, comfortable, not too expensive and comes with a brake in the box (at least I think the 3x110s do?)
Even if they got ones with smart frames/wheels, you can just replace the frames and wheels quite easily.
I'm pretty happy with my Atom Pro Fitness skates. It's standard spacing so you can get whatever wheel /frame combo you want. The recommended sizing was too big (it came out 1.5 size larger than my usual shoe size) so if I ordered them again, I'd just go by my shoe size.
assuming they fit and are comfortable, the biggest upgrade would be fitting hydrogen wheels and fresh bearings.
That said, I am suspicious of those one sided frames, I can't really believe they have good power transfer.
I’ve essentially worn the boots out on my current skates. The liner has holes at my ankle bones and I pronate my feet so the boots get warped. Good info about the wheels /bearings though , thank you!
Provided you are on good terrain, I would definitely try 4x90s unless you happen to be really tall. Good maneuverability and less energy expenditure for each stride; of course you won’t maintain speed as long however.
Are 90s bad for tall people?
I am 5’10”. I used to have 4x90, but I enjoy my 4x100mm, do you really think I’m better on 90mm? (Not being sarcastic)
