Man I genuinely love Two Ribbons and so happy to see so much love for it in this thread. I vividly remember stumbling across LEG at a music festival (having not heard the new album at all) and being blown away by them opening with New Year’s Day
LEG deserves a much greater following also.... 2 Ribbons got a 5 star review in the Guardian ( deservedly so!) yet they remain completely under the radar. With all the literally perfect pop they have produced it's criminal they haven't had any hits yet. :-(
Didn't realize this was Jenny Hollingworth from Let's Eat Grandma. I know their last album was about drifting apart and reconciliation so a solo project from either of the two did seem imminent. I will definitely be checking this out.
Hasn't stuck to me as quickly as Two Ribbons did (a top 5 album of all time for me), but still very excited to let it unfold for me over time. Her emotional songwriting is top tier, Dolphins is incredible.
I've listened to Good Intentions literally 300 times already and the rest of the album is pretty great as well. I feel like I need to give it a few listens to differentiate the songs as they feel a bit same-y right now outside the singles (I've only listened to the whole thing once). While it's sad that it's been four years since Let's Eat Grandma's last album (and 3ish years since their last single), both Rosa and Jenny have been making some great music on their own. And Let's Eat Grandma feels like a project that really needs to wait for the right moment for inspiration to strike considering how much it hinges on the duo's relationship.
Love the combination of upbeat almost danceable instrumentals and introspective lyrics. With this, Dry Cleaning, and The Cribs it’s a strong start to 2025.
Listened to this walking my dog on the beach this morning. Love it.
“Do You Still Believe In Me” is fuckin ethereal rock. “Appetite” and “Push” are real standouts but no weak tracks for me.
The production is so clear, every layer is careful, every texture is beautiful. So many lovely synths but wasn’t expecting the excellent distortion. Her falsetto is divine.
A couple of years back I had tickets to see LEG in the UK ( I live in Sweden), then easyjet cancelled my flight a couple of days before... I was pretty pissed, but thought I could go and see them in Copenhagen... Then LEG cancelled the European dates.... I was spitting.
I see Jenny is playing record store gigs... Fingers crossed she makes it over here... ( I've blown my traveling for gigs budget on tickets for Rick Astley in April... Lol)
Never listened to Let's Eat Grandma before but loved this. Feels like I'm at prom in an 80s American coming-of-age film.
Two Ribbons is a 10/10 album
So is I’m All Ears! These two are great talents, look forward to Rosa’s debut.
Yeah I love the longer songs on I’m All Ears especially
Donnie Darko is such an incredible song
This X 100!

You would really like Two Ribbons I think
You should check them out, I almost exclusively listen to metal but when I discovered them they quickly became one of my most listened to artists
Truly mental she has just 5k listeners on Spotify. Society is unwell.

Yeah, sucks I haven't been able to see them tour yet (and Jenny's solo run isn't coming to Scotland either).
LEG really should be big. At least Rosa literally has 2mn monthly listeners because of Cyberpunk...

It's actually 2026! Time flies
I'm enjoying the album, on my second listen now. I just love Jenny's voice... Great vocal range, and THAT Norfolk accent!

It’s probably (definitely lol) too soon to say but this might end up being my AOTY

When I saw them on the two ribbons tour they blew my mind. Still top 5 concert experiences ever for me (not to rub it in lol)
hopefully she brings this album to the states in some capacity. I could see her opening for a bigger act
I love Let’s Eat Grandma, they’ve made some of my all time favorite pop songs. I’m enjoying this, especially Good Intentions
its good, but ive heard it before. Can get really uninteresting by track 5
solo records usually fall flat for me but this is so so good. just as good as the last let's eat grandma album
