Hi all, we had conducted a poll last week to check what people think about allowing daily run posts on the sub.

The results were not decisive, even more among the regular users of the sub. Keeping this in mind - we will NOT restrict posting of daily run screenshots on the sub, but we will remove any such posts if they don't add to or start a new discussion. A few examples of such "blank" posts are -

  1. Posts not telling anything meaningful about that activity
  2. Posts without a question in the title or description text
  3. Posts which just say "tempo run" or "easy run" and nothing else
  4. Posts made to flex or seek validation (eg - "is this good?")

Please help us in keeping the subreddit a bit more spam free as the number of members grows by reporting any such instances.

  • Thank you for this! This should reduce the clutter. We would love to see more meaningful discussions, experiences and informative posts here.

  • Yayyy πŸ„β€β™€οΈπŸ„β€β™€οΈπŸ„β€β™€οΈπŸ„β€β™€οΈ

You have some insane times there, mate!

  • Great stuff. So good to see this sub active tho. A year ago, it was literally dead with few posts a month

  • I don’t think daily run posts should be allowed, for most questions and discussions you need some more data than a single run. What are we really doing by looking at a single distance, single pace and a single map?

People who have a serious query or discussion would at least talk about their weekly milage and post a picture about that. Not a daily run.

  • Literally every post on this sub is still in the same vein. Seems more like strava/instagram without any meaningful discussion on training or running. 86 vs 42 was pretty decisive already.
