It's been more than 70 days since I made the booking of RTX 300 through online additional a Bengaluru dealership. I’m still stuck in complete uncertainty. Every follow-up email gets me the same copy-paste reply about “phased delivery” and “stay tuned to the website”.
No booking status. No timeline. No clarity.
Yesterday I once again speaked directly to the authorized dealer. He said he can't check on any confirmation of my booking from TVS at all, and now estimates delivery could stretch till February for the top-end variant. This is while I’m seeing other showrooms already delivering the same bike.
I’m not angry anymore, just confused and honestly a bit drained. When there’s no transparency, no communication, and no ownership from the brand, you start wondering whether this is just a long chain of red flags.
Is anyone else stuck in the same loop? Has anyone actually received a clear delivery confirmation? Or is this one of those moments where the universe quietly says, “maybe not this one”?
This is literally my first bike and I was super excited. Now TVS literally buried that excitement.

Buying a TVS visit the service centre once and ask owners about it
I know, service sucks. Probably the worst service centre chain in india. But I hope things will change. Atleast with the launch of Norton motorcycles next year. And they are producing some great bikes as well.
Maybe but Old habits are hard to change
Let me be optimistic 😭
Will change but will take a lot of time, since its also about training of existing workers, and I know them I used to do part time in a two wheeler showroom, they don't like complex and big responsibility work.
I’m honestly amazed at the blind optimism here. TVS didn’t magically fix their long-term reliability or service issues after RR310, even with BMW involved. So why assume this bike—or the Norton badge—will suddenly change everything? And if they don’t improve? Two years down the line you’re stuck with a bike that could develop serious engine issues, inconsistent service with no permanent fix, and terrible resale value. It’s a TVS—used market prices reflect that reality. At that point, you can’t fully enjoy riding it, and you can’t sell it without taking a big hit. You’re just tolerating the bike, not owning it
I recently cancelled my booking the top model
And ?
End.
OP lived happily ever after
Bro said "tvs or nu'n"
Ah, there's a lot of demand and the customer care guy might have no clue so don't blame him. imo stay patient even if its taking longer
Idk, may be this sort of waiting period is normal for newly launched Vehicles. I though never followed a newly launched vehicle this close, so yeah may be bcoz of that the frustration kicks in
I won’t comment on whether you should get this bike or not. But I used to think this way earlier, whenever I planned something big or important, there were always hurdles, delays, or something going wrong. I’d wonder if the universe was trying to tell me not to do it.
Over time, I realised it’s just a test. And once you push through, it feels incredible. Some of my best experiences came after crossing those hurdles, and I’ve never regretted it.
Thanks for saying this. Yeah these are the hopes. I literally test rode all the vehicles available within my budget, something close to the price range of RTX. VStorm was the I liked the most. The amount of hope am keeping on RTX is so high. I just hope it won't disappoint
tell that to guys who bough tata !!
And what exactly do I tell them? I have friends and family who own Tata, and they are quite happy with it.
I would say don’t rush into the purchase. Give it 6 months. Since this is a new product for TVS, it’ll take some time to iron out initial technical glitches and roll out minor fixes based on the feedback.
Bike kinda become a necessity man. And I am not in a position to get a secondhand at the moment and get this one new after 6-7 months. And once again by that time many new launches might happens, and the cycle will keep running.
Pretty sure that they're getting way more bookings than what they expected
Having said that, it's always better to not be a beta tester of a new product
I understand the risk of being the beta tester. Once it's successful they might increase the price just like how Triumph did with Speed 400. So far I only heard few cons which can be rectified with small updates in services.
The thing is, triumph's service centers are far better and way more equipped than an average tvs service center. So getting small issues fixed would be easy with triumph's service. Same can't be said about tvs' service
Yeah true. Speed 400 was clearly beyond my budget. T4 was still considerable. But I heard from few colleagues who own t4 that they face multiple issues with the bike. Maintenance is little high
Triumph bikes' maintenance is definitely high.
One good thing i've heard about tvs is, they sell each and every part online. So imo, rtx300 owners should make a trustable sub or forum for maintenance tips. And one should look for some well trained local mechanic because it is must be assumed that tvs SC's won't offer good service quality
Yeah that's very well needed. I think there are 2-3 good service centres in BLR.
Hey man, i am also in the same position, booked top variant in October on the day the bookings opened. Still no updates, asked the dealer 3 times all he said was you will get a call when the bike gets allotted. He said people who booked in October will be allotted the bike by the end of month and delivery by Jan 3/4 week.
I also found that most showrooms have 2 bikes already with them, some are allowing the people to test those bikes, but sadly they aren't test bikes and are customer bikes. Which shouldn't be allowed to test or ride.
I have sent 2 emails to TVS customer Care, I have not received any updates from them also.
TBH I have lost the excitement for the bike, but also as everything with me is like this. I have grown a thicker skin. I just hope it's a good product and we get to enjoy the bike. Patients my man! We got this.
Edit: spelling.
Yeahhhhhh, completely relatable. Atleast i hope they are doing something good with the delay on the machine.
Bruv, just say you got another dealer who has a bike available and you want to cancel or shift booking to the new dealer. Ask for the process, dont share any details.
happened with me - Hero xpulse. hero showroom in goa messed up so bad, i had to cancel after they had already registered insurance & billed the bike. cancelling the bike was great decision- cuz i found out service is non existent in goa.
i ended up buying himalayan 450, took me a while to get used to the bike, but it’s super worth. trust your gut, it’ll be rewarding in aways we can’t fathom! not just wrt to bike, but overall, life takes a sharp safe turn on the right path!!
Dodged a bullet by not buying the Xpulse
Great choice. Wish I had the budget for Himalayan 450 or adventure 390.
I don't care about the delay, i want the bike to be perfect unlike the xpulse 210.
Make sense!
Most probably they are fixing issues with quickshifter calibration. That seems to be the only logical reason why only base model is getting delivered.
Ahh heard this issue in few review like the one for Sagar
Even if it's the world's best bike, I would wait for the 2nd iteration of this bike.
base model is getting delivered first so that's why you might be seeing those deliveries ..
Even there aren't much deliveries happened with base as well. Like idk hardly 10-20. Literally my feed is full of RTX. So it's like every random person posting a video/pic of RTX will show up in my feed.
OP same things happened while delivering RTR 310 BTO models One of my friends got the delivery almost after 3 months after booking the Dynamic pro kit model He also faced the same situation no transparency nothing just on a random day he received a call from a dealer near him that his bike is here OP relax i test rode RTX and I assure you will not be disappointed
Glad to hear. RTR is absolutely amazing. Flaws are there for sure, but wonderful machine
Like giving out ration..
I have seen that they announced top model deliveries start from February End
Also TVS has Apache RTX user manual in their website If ur interested read it 200 page pdf
Saw the top end ready for delivery in 1 showroom. I contacted that showroom and they were like this one was booked on the same day of launch and they still have 30 more pending to receive.
Which Dealer ?
Hope u recieve it sooner 😄
OP, if you ask me, wait it out. Don't get bitten by the hype. Wait it out for 6 months, let TVS sort out the early creeping niggles and issues from the first lot and then take a call whether to buy it or not. Don't jump the gun and become a lab rat.
Completely understand the risk of being a beta tester. But I am going to take that risk.
Sounds good buddy. I respect that. Good luck 🤞
Don't worry about it too much. Every bike has its pro and cons. If you like the bike go for it and if not just get something else. You said service is bad, but 2 of my friends own TVS bikes and my father owns a scooty, no one had any issue yet. These things are rare occurrences so don't fret about it.
Like, I own triumph scram 400x, I have seen many posts about issues in the bike but neither I or any one from my triumph grp have that issue
This is the level of optimism am trying to achieve. Hoping for the best. Thanks for your words.
After sale service is crap man
Good things take time.
Visit the centre and talk to them. Been to their centers twice and they are extremely unpleasant and rude. Talk to them calculate pros and cons, then take a call.
I talked to manager of my dealership a plenty of times. He is a chill guy. Unfortunately dealerships are clueless and they are also tirelessly attending to customer calls.
Then it's cool. Yup, the company needs to update the details to dealerships. Glad they are chill.
Can you name the dealership please?
Nah man. Dealership sounds very chill and calm. I am happy that they are responding well. Hence i don't wanna call them out.
Waiting this long for something which has unnecessary hype really does the kill the mood. Will suggest you to test drive other bikes and check if you are comfortable with the latter option. Also did you get a test ride before booking?
I test rode 8 other bikes within my budget, something close to the price range of RTX. This was before the launch of Rtx and among that VStorm was the one I liked the most, followed by Highness (Speed 400 was also great, but unfortunately another 50k).
Regarding RTX test ride, still no luck on finding a vehicle.
I understand that you are frustrated with the delayed delivery, I am also waiting,But please stop making some random assumptions. Delivery has not started for the TOP variant anywhere in India. It will only start after Jan 15th for the people who booked in October and Feb 15th for people who booked in November and December.
Am not assuming bro. Currently am in a different state, and i contacted few of the dealership here and one of them received a top end model 3 days back. Earlier i thought it might be a showroom piece. But when communicated, I got to know that's for delivery. But the funnier part is they still do not have a test ride bike.
There is a dealership in Bangalore which received a TOP variant as well, Go through this sub and you will find it. But these are all one off cases and hasn't become regular occurrence yet. I contacted the dealership where I have booked and also few ones around and none of them are confident that they will get TOP or BTO soon
The problem is the dealers are not confirming they have test ride model or not. They are saying this is a showroom piece. We can't provide it for test ride. And even the dealers who started delivering does not have a test ride bike.
I believe we still have some waiting time ahead of us if we want anything apart from the base variant. It's clear from the way TVS has acted so far.
Same, Booked BTO Variant on Oct 17th till now no update. I have shared the Delivery dates please refer.
I saw that post of probable deliveries. According to that top must be starting from 15th Jan. But dealership saying that the chances for Jan delivery is so low. It will be delivered from Feb probably
The Dates which i shared are leaked from company meeting.
Then i really hope I can start riding from Jan end!
I booked Ntorq 150 top variant more than two weeks ago.
I called them twice and no clear response when it will be on stock. And the dealership abruptly disconnecting my call.
Waiting indefinitely.
Ohh, so literally same story for all bikes of TVS, intersting
It's a new bike made with a new engine. Wait for 1 year. It'll reveal its real pros n cons. Wait time will also be lesser. Also u will have more 3rd party accessories available after a year.
TVS low quality ignore
Just to let u know my rr310 is at service centre fr past 2 months due to an accident. Spare parts are really an issue
