Hi guys,

Firstly thank you for those who help me to prepare a pre ride checklist which helped me a lot.

Coming to the ride, today we have completed total of 2500kms ride in about a week, where 800km ride in a day being the major stress point for our bikes. This stretch helped us to know our machines and their capabilities on Highways, ghat roads, uneven terrains.

Our route included many random places but to generalising the route in simple terms here is the route map below

Kerala - karnataka - goa - hyderabad.

Tvs ronin felt so good to ride , it was smooth, handled well in sharp curves and efficient.

Ask me anything related to the ride , i would be happy to answer your.

  • Great to see someone touring Ronin. Can you list down accessories/bagpacks that you have used?

    P.S. - I also own a ronin 2024.

Moto torque saddle stays (note: don't buy them seperately like I did, you have to buy moto torque top rack set to compensate the fixture of saddle stays)

Try opting for tvs ronin touring kit which will cost you the same.

  • Hey, what was your cruising speed on highways?

Also, how long did it take for the 800km ride (assuming this is from Goa - Hyd)? Did the same ride just yesterday (North Goa to Hyd via Solapur), almost took 13 hrs with a 1 hr stop in solapur

Hi, it's impressive to see you have covered it in such a short time. But it took us 18hrs to reach hyd as we were taking frequent breaks to relax our minds and bodies.

Our cruising speeds were around 80-100kms.

  • How's the long rinding experience with ronin!? Faced any issues with the bike?

It was smooth and easy, though Ronin being a 225cc bike it delivered good power with such luggage tied to it.

    Highlighting to notice:

    No handle wobbling -

Even at higher speeds with saddle bags packed with stuff. I did not feel a slight wobble.

    Good enough millage -

Though we were cruising at around 80-100kms, the bike did give an impressive rate of millage

    Rough handling -

Every possible dust, speed bumps, pot holes. Not even a single time I felt this machine is gonna break. The shocks took most of the impact.

Thanks for sharing. I'll be getting ronin in the new year. Anything I need to be aware of?

Congratulations btw. It's a smooth machine and family friendly bike. Points i would suggest is to check the tyres during delivery checks. Ask if the dealer can help you to replace the new tvs tyres with any other company tyres like mrf,Ceat), if not no issue.

    1. Open the seat and check the grab rail mount points for any rust or cracks.

    2. Check if while starting the bike , is it struggling to start in the one go or is it taking a second to start.

  • Since your general cruise speed was within 80-100 kmph range, did you notice any kind of vibrations around the footpegs and handle? Usually reviewers say that the machines produces vibrations in this speed range.

Yes I did experience it but not that heavy which hurts your foot after a long time. It's noticeable.

  • I’ve rented this bike for 300–400 some kms, not a long trip tho. Still what should I keep in mind?

also what place is this in the picture??

Make sure not to take any shortcut, stuck to the highways.

Never try new dishes during your ride. Can cause fatigue.

As highways can cause frequent zone outs make sure to have a good number of stops before you reach your destination.

Do not stop your vehicle under any random place make sure there is a minimum number of public around.

The picture was taken in the route between Madikeri and udipi

    noted, thank you op

  • This is udupi right? Mattu beach 🏖️

Not exactly, because the shot was taken before reaching udipi.

  • What an achievement. I couldn't imagine pulling this off.

    Thank you 😊

  • Would be doing the same route via blr. Any tips or suggestions ?
