  • Buying TVS ronin as my first bike . Which variant will be better value for money as I have to travel for 25 to 30 km daily . Please suggest will it be good as my daily driver ?

  • Hey everyone, I’m finally looking to upgrade from my reliable CD110 to my first "big bike." My usage will be a mix of daily city commuting and highway runs. I’ve narrowed my list down, but I’m a bit conflicted after the test rides: Triumph Speed T4: I took a test drive and honestly, I enjoyed the riding experience of this one the most. It just felt right. Triumph Speed 400: I tested this as well. While it’s a great machine, I actually preferred the ride feel of the T4. However, purely in terms of looks, the Speed 400 wins for me. Harley-Davidson X440: This is also on my shortlist, but I haven't taken a test drive yet. The Dilemma: I'm stuck between the T4 (better ride experience for me) and the Speed 400 (better aesthetics). Is it worth waiting to test ride the X440? For those who have ridden these, how does the X440 compare for a city/highway mix? Any advice would be appreciated!

  • I am planning to purchase Ns400z , can anyone tell me best showroom for sales and service in chennai and also from where to purchase major spares like engine head etc via online or offline??

  • NEED ADVICE: I been using my platina 100 from 15 years and it has covered 150k Kms. Before that i had pulsar 150 for 6 years. Now m thinking to upgrade to a 5 gear bike as everything is so fast and my 100 cc struggles to overtake even ola scooters. I cover 30 kms everyday. With 10 kms in city traffic. I like retro look bikes like xsr or fzx. Suggest me something with decent mileage also. Near 50

  • Hi,

Looking for a lightweight, single-visor, ISI + ECE helmet under ₹7k for R15M. Axor, MT, SMK rejected due to weight/noise/specs issues. Need suggestions.

I recently bought a Yamaha R15M in the new Metallic Grey, and I’m now looking to buy a helmet with a budget under ₹7,000.

I’ve shortlisted and researched a few brands like Axor, MT, KYT, LS2, and SMK. My non-negotiable safety requirements are ISI and ECE certification. Since the R15M demands a sport riding posture, helmet weight, balance, and wind noise at higher speeds are major concerns for me.

Here’s why I eliminated some options:

    • Axor: I tried my friend’s Axor Hunter, and it felt heavy with noticeable wind noise at higher speeds, so I ruled Axor out.
    • MT: Many riders mention that MT has stopped official exports to India, and there are already spare and visor availability issues, so I removed MT from my list.
    • SMK: It is not specs-friendly, the weight distribution feels off, most models use a quick-release buckle, whereas I prefer a Double-D ring, so I rejected SMK as well.

    Coming to the remaining options:

    • LS2: It seems like a good overall package, but most models in my budget come with a dual-visor setup. I came across a Reddit post mentioning that dual visors are not ideal for people who wear glasses, and that a single visor with attachable sunglasses is a better option. This also helps reduce weight and avoids specs-related issues.
    • KYT: The TT-Revo ticks almost all my boxes, but it is over my budget and does not come with a Pinlock installed, which is a downside for me.

At this point, I feel stuck and unsure which helmet to choose that meets all my requirements without compromises.
I’d really appreciate guidance or suggestions to help me make the right decision.

  • Hi,

I’m looking to buy kawasaki versys-x 300 for touring. My height is 5’6 and facing ribcage inflammation. First thing to mention i’m looking for smooth and very reliable engine. I’ve no interest in off-roading trails. I’ve to keep in mind about indian roads too.

Many of the influencers are giving good impression on suspension even though it is moderately designed for trails. I really don’t have any idea how good it is to overcome potholes. My present bike is bullet 350 bs6 model. In my opinion it has very bad suspension.. i guess it has less than 100mm travel and stiff spring used too!!! This is making me so tired that i feel like i cannot make another tour.

I’ve seen many reviews for versys, apart from pricing it is really good machine that we can rely on. Good enough power for touring. I know torque is less but i need linear power to ride smoothly instead of hurdling and breaking ( since i have inflammation i don’t want to stress my body). My requirements are simple, i’m looking for smooth, reliable, good enough suspension for touring and exploring. And i’m not in to fancy instrumental display. And i cruise at 80-120kmph.

Not just because of kawasaki branding, keeping in mind about my height, weight management, vibrations, suspension pricing and my health concern i’m more interested in this bike. After new gst, pricing has also reduced. I don’t have any idea how maintenance and service costs. Also suggest if any other bike would do the job.

Please share your valuable insights on this…

I believe the Ground clearance isn’t that great because from what i know from Versys 650 ans 1100, due to the weight and travel of suspension the vehicle compreses amd comes closer to the ground. Idk if it's the same in Versys X 300.

Do a test ride and decide for yourself.

The Ninja 300 had Handlebar issues , idk if versys x 300 has such issues.

Could you explain what are the handle bar issues? I never heard about that

It wobbles. YouTube Ninja 300 Handlebar Wobble, you will understand

Are you OK with tubed tyres of versys x300?

    Yeah I’m okay with it

  • Is honda rebel good as a first bike? I am new into bikes

  • Scooters are sitting ducks against rash drivers

As scooters have small wheels, it's so risky to go beyond 60 kmph on them, and then in case of free flowing traffic, they become sitting ducks for suicidal rash drivers on bikes and cars.

I ride Activa 6g in Bangalore, on weekdays due to traffic I am not overtaken that often. But on weekdays when the traffic is flowing, rash drivers have no speed limits and overtake me from both left, right on high speed.

I particularly feel the most risk on ORR bridges, where on bridge section connection points scooty jumps a lot so I have to reduce speed to around 50 kmph, now cars and bikes overtake me from very close at fast speed from all directions where there is hardly any space.

Today I was riding towards extreme left, one biker on thunderbird kept honking me, he wasn't visible in any of me mirror as he was right behind me, I went towards slightly more left thinking whoever wants he can overtake from right. But that idiot still overtook me from left at very high speed, there was no space and gave me looks.

Such close overtakes really scare me. Now I am thinking of getting N250 so that I am ahead of these idiots, but I know there would still be some idiots who will try to enter in spaces because I never tailgate anyone.

After getting married I will use scooters for commute when there is heavy traffic, bikes for weekend out station trips but will always use cars for fast traffic in city.

  • One of my father’s friends is selling his triumph t120 black with about 3 lakhs worth of extra fittings (custom silencers and stuff not exactly sure what else), he’s offered it to my father for 10 lakhs, it’s an August 2024 bike, is that a good price for it?

  • So, I'm fully aware of the fact that a single cylinder won't sound good with an after market exhaust. But, hear me out. I own an RTR 160 4V, I got rid of the saree guard and tire hugger, and I really love how the rear looks (subjective) but, as y'all know, the exhaust is bulky asf, and it looks so out of place, I absolutely love the exhaust note but idk man, maybe I can keep it the way it is but with a smaller, less bulky exhaust? If yes, where can I find genuine slip ons which won't sound like fart cans. I tried researching online but it was of no help, there isn't a single video or audio of the bike with an aftermarket exhaust with the db killer still in there. What do I do ?

  • Hi Fellow Bikers,

I’m thinking of getting a new bike soon, maybe around January 2026. I’m looking for something in the 2 lakhs range, excluding showroom prices.

I’m 36, 5.6 feet tall and have an athletic build. Here’s a quick rundown of my past bikes:

    2010 - 2013: Used Hero Honda CBZ 2013 - 2016: Hero Honda CBZ Xtreme 2017 - 2018: Bajaj Avenger 150 Street 2018 - 2025: Yamaha FZs Fi V2.0 150 CC

For a while now, my younger self has been drawn to 150 CC bikes, but I’ve always dreamed of owning a RE Classic and riding it as my next bike. Now that I’ll be officially old in four years, I’m finally planning to get a bit bigger bike.

My main trips are to the office in B2B traffic (about 20 km daily) and sometimes to the outskirts.

What I really need is a refined engine that doesn’t get too hot, a good seat for me and my passenger, and comfortable riding in traffic.

I’m planning to ride the bike for at least five years.

I’ve had a test ride of the following:

    1. Hunter 350: It’s easy to drive, and it doesn’t feel like a piece of metal, which is a plus for me. The thumpy sound was amazing. However, the test bike got really hot during a 2 km test ride in Bangalore traffic. Plus, it doesn’t feel like a premium bike. Since my budget is a bit higher than that, it’s not something I’m considering right now. Exshowroom price: 1.66 Lacs
    2. Meteor 350 - I’ve been waiting for this bike since it came out! I’ve always been a fan of cruisers. But, the test ride wasn’t great. The bike was super heavy, especially when making U-turns. Plus, the seating position reminded me of my struggles with the Avenger. Every bump and pothole would hit my spine and back straight away. I’m getting older and can’t risk my back. Exshowroom - 1.97 Lacs
    3. Triumph T4 - I really liked the bike. The engine was refined, the agility and handling were great. The riding position was okay. But my wife found it hard to get into the pillion seat. She’s 5.2. Also, the pillion seat is narrow and not very comfortable. The bike doesn’t have USD forks and good tires. In today’s world, navigation is a standard feature in all these bikes, which Triumph is missing. I didn’t like the Speed 400 because of how the engine responds in traffic and the aggressive seating position. The other issues with the pillion seat and navigation are still there. Exshowroom - 1.82 Lacs
    4. Harley X440 Vivid - I never thought about Harley because it was too expensive. But after the new T variant came out, the Vivid is now available for 2.2 lakhs Exshowroom. Now, the competition is getting pretty tough. I took a test ride. The engine was smooth, but the bike felt heavier than the T4. It’s a futuristic bike with great low-end torque, USD forks, liquid cooling, navigation and a comfortable seat. It’s a combination that’s almost missing in any other bike, except for Harley. And the mustard yellow colour looks amazing.

PS: I haven’t had a chance to test ride the Honda 350s and RE Classic because they’re air-cooled and seem a bit old-fashioned. I’m not as fond of their look anymore, even though I used to be a fan a decade ago.

What do you all think I should consider?

I’m thinking of getting the bike with BH registration from Bhubaneswar to Bangalore (it’s all legal, and I got a Škoda Kushaq with a great discount and lots of savings on road tax last year).

For these bikes, insurance is around 15-19k. The registration cost for BH would be between 4k and 6k. Plus, transporting the bike from Odisha to Bangalore will be another 6k.

Please share your thoughts and recommendations!

  • tldr; I think I bought my first bike (Apache 200) impulsively on some fleeting thought. I had decided to get the Duke 250 as my first bike (based on Motorinc's recommendation). I have this nagging thought that I should correct my mistake and sell off the Apache, and get a Duke 250. It definitely feels stupid, but would it be worth it?

I recently bought an Apache RTR 200 4v as my first bike, have 900 kms on my ODO and the bike is good.

But I can't help but wonder if I should've gotten a KTM instead. When I was out looking for what to buy, I had shortlisted these bikes after reading reviews and watching videos.

    • Duke 200
    • Duke 250
    • Apache 200

I wanted to take a test rides before buying a bike, but at that time I didn't have my driving licence and I only had first hand experience with an HF Deluxe ( that I practiced on, at a local driving school ). So, the showrooms didn't give me a test drive directly.

And my family also suggested that I spend less, because I was picking up motorcycling as a hobby ( I didn't really need a motorcycle, I just wanted one ). So, I had this going on. And also, my mom wanted me to make the purchase on a particular day as per astrology.

All this resulted in a situation where, I either pull the trigger and buy a bike (without test ride) or I wait another month, because there was no auspicious date. And I reasoned and went ahead with the Apache. It was a chaotic experience with TVS but I got a bike that looks reasonably good, and runs fine.

In hindsight, I think had I gone with the Duke 250... I won't have this feeling that I could've gotten a better bike. Because, I bought the 200 after watching numerous Motorinc videos / FAQs.

I have this nagging thought that maybe I should sell off the Apache 200, and get myself a Duke 250. Although, I know somewhere that the performance improvement would be minimal, and honestly it won't matter to me because right now, even speeds like 60-70 kmph feel too fast for me.

I've recently adapted to a speed of 50-55 kmph, and I am working on pushing myself to drive little faster as I gain some familiarity with the roads and traffic.

  • I’m 20, around 5'8", just got my first job and I’ve wanted a bike for as long as I can remember. Looking to buy my first proper bike now.

I currently ride a Pulsar 200 (2008 model), so I’m not completely new to riding.

I’m mainly looking at maybe a cruiser or a street bike — something comfortable with an upright stance, kind of like the Hunter 350 style. Not into aggressive sport bikes.

Would love suggestions on what bikes would suit my height and be good as a first buy.

I just bought a Duke 250 today, The wish of owning a bike started in 9th class and finally was able to achieve it at 25, after 3 yrs of job.😅💗. While driving it to home, I felt a little buzz in the handles and body, is it common to have some issues in the starting stages?

And any suggestions from any Duke 250 owners, This is my first bike. Would love to hear your wisdom. Thank you all!

  • Hi, can someone suggest any good helmets with ece 22.06 certification that also fit within the under-seat storage of a TVS Jupiter (preferably two but I know that is asking for too much).

I am looking at this one https://www.amazon.in/Axor-Hunter-Certified-Pinlock-Visor-Black-M/dp/B0DQ4C921R but not sure if it would fit. I also don't have any good helmet shops near me to check in-person.

This link also says pinlock fitted but I am not sure if that is true given the price.

Apologies since I know this is bikes subreddit but I couldn't find a better place to ask this. Thank you!

  • I am thinking to buy Hero Xtreme 125R in next year.

So when I was researching, I came across the mileage test video where the one of the youtuber was able to extract 73 kmpl while cruising on the highway in Eco Mode.

I mean sporty looks, a lot of safety features and necessary tech, awesome mileage on a 125 CC 😌🔥

Also, if anyone is interested in one of the good detailed review of this bike, I found his another video and it series to be very useful.

  • Planning to buy ntorq 150

  • Hi guys I’m 25 earning around 52k and I’m thinking of buying my first bike next march for my birthday. Right now I’m confused between harley x440 and duke 250 so which one should i go for?

  • Hey guys,

I am 26M, earning around 61k per month working in IT based out of noida(for affordability reference).

I have been thinking about buying a car for some time but not been able to do that because I feel I am not layoff ready yet and seems like a bad financial decision. An idea popped up in my head like 20 minutes back. Why not buy a bike for the time being.
It started with this reddit post I saw around Hunter 350. My cousin had a classic royal enfield and I always used to think that a bike would not make sense for long distances since no roof and constant sitting haha.

I only know scooty when it comes to 2 wheelers and I have recently learnt automatic CVT based car(my dad bought one recently) and I do drive that whenever I go back.

I will have to learn how to drive a motorcycle first. But i can afford a 1-1.5 lakh bike. although that will wipe a small but considerable chunk of my money( i treat my savings as safety cushion, so, it hurts).

I do feel like driving something of my own. Something that I bought with my own money. Might use it for going back home which is like 7.5 hours or like 450 km.

Do you think I should buy a bike? Or is this whole idea dumb? idk kind of feels impulsive.

    Thoughts?

  • Planning to buy a Harley 48 or 883 in India. Owners, what are the best things to keep in mind to enjoy the experience fully?
Maintenance tips, riding comfort, service support, long-ride perks, anything that made ownership worth it.

  • So I was wondering about 2 concerns

    1. Whether to Buy RR310 Or RTR 310, RR has more sporty look and from what I saw if I actually am into top end performance and speed I should go for it, Buy thinking about how I also wanted a all rounder part to it when I think about going on long ride with my friends, so RTR 310 looked like the optimum choice to cover all aspects plus both of them have features like Cruise control, traction control, turning speed control and alot more (I'm not into Adventure bikes at least for now). So I'm confused and need validation as to what I should go for.

    2. Both of these are expensive around 3+L, so nice I'm new to bikes and hotblooded for them 😂😂, I don't want to over spend and then regret the choices thinking about how I could explore other options, So I was wondering if should Buy Second hand bikes with good conditions, so that I don't spend alot on exploring my passion for them, and learn from this,

Or to buy a new bike itself on Emi

    Let me know guys! Thanks

You know what bike you like more than the other you just need validation. Come on bro chill out get the bike maintain it and it will help you in the long run

  • Xpulse 210 AMA

  • Hi everyone.

My dad owns a Bajaj V12 and the right side view mirror broke. We asked the service centre (Jai Autos, Chennai) and they are saying it's not on stock. Does anyone know where to get the spare parts in chennai as i'm not sure of the reliability of online website. If there are, can you suggest reliable online vendors? Thanks in advance!!

  • Hi guys,
I am purchasing a Honda CB350 RS, this Sunday I am going for booking and delivery, I will take it on 5th Jan 2026.
For my bike, I am planning to take the Moto Torque V2 crash guard. I found it is reliable, but I am not sure whether it is good or not.
I found other company as well
    Legendary price is 4178
    Zana Price is 3900
    Moto torque v1 3950
Please help me out with choosing the right one, and please let me know what other accessories I should take.

  • Hi everyone,
Need an assistance on which bike should I get:
I have drove my father's glamour for like almost 5 years now.

And now I am thinking of getting a new bike for me.

I wanna get a retro looking bike but I also need power and since I am in my early 20s and am earning so mileage aint a dealbreaker for me.

Notice I am a salaried person but I love riding bikes, and would go to sunday rides too. I will get riding gear according to the bike I get, and I am 23yrs old and 6ft in height. And I am not at all interested getting it second hand. I currently live in Chandigarh, but would buy the bike in my hometown Kanpur, UP and bring it here, so yeah.

I am confused between getting either

    1. Honda CB350RS (the light gray- or dark grey color)

which is like quite affordable and powerful bike, and also would save me money to get a car too early on. Since, I have to keep track of my future family too right

    1. GT650 (apex grey / mr. clean)

the looks, the power, the feel evereything it just too awesome, i just love this bike.
Although it would drink my savings and all but it wont hurt to get this thing right, its just the beast. Simply to say I just love this bike.

    1. Triumph speed 400 (red / yellow)

This has got the best of the two, the power, the premiumness, the build quality, the parts everything it got is just too awesome. But, I am not sure of Triumph's servicing, I have noticed many issues with their parts availability and the bike being stored in the service center for even months.

    What do you guys suggest

  • In the RTX-300 test-ride experience thread today the rider said it is top-heavy. I know from Youtube that Himalayan is top-heavy. Which bikes are not top-heavy and how to know this?

  • My head size calculated using the measure came 620mm So I tried XL size helmet but they didn't fit me I can't even put it past my ears

So I tried 2XL from Brands like SMK, Axor, LS2 still no luck

Finally in the city I found a Ls2 Storm 2 2zl which was fitting perfectly but I had quick release and was orange color so I went to Ahmedabad, there I tried the same Ls2 Storm 2 2xl but it was too fit

Owner said "maybe the brand change measurements in the new model"

So I asked for Smk titan carbon it was also tight

I currently use a sbh 40 from SteelBird it fits but after sometime I feel pressure on the forehead too much during ride

So I told myself "give a try to modular ones"

I tried Gullwing, Ls2 modular still same result

Owner said "maybe you can take smk titan carbon and add 3 or 4 xl padding maybe then it can fit you"

At last I'm to my beloved community, maybe you guys can help. I'm just tired looking for helmets

    Please help me guys😭

  • Hey guys, I'm getting MT thunder 3 pro at 5k (22.05 certified) and SMK typhoon at 4.1k(22.06). Please suggest and clarify which one to choose and why.

  • What is a good buying price of 14 months old pulsar ns400z ? Oddo is 9000.

About 55-60 percent of the actual amount.

  • Hi guys, need help in deciding between the Continental GT 650 (Apex Grey) and the Interceptor Bear 650.

My usage: Purely for fun weekend rides and occasional highway touring. No daily commuting. My stats: 6ft, 90kg.

Since I am taller, I am worried the GT 650 cafe racer stance might be too cramped for longer trips, but I prefer the looks. Does the Bear 650 offer a better balance of "fun" and ergonomics for a 6-footer?

I have good riding experience, so handling the weight/power isn't an issue. Thanks!

    Go with Bear650!

I fear those spoke wheels. Nothing else.

The interceptor has an alloy wheels option.

  • So basically I'm in search for my first bike..thing is I'm not sure what kind of bike(mainly looking at the Gixxer sf250, RTR 160) but not really sure.. something within 1.5 lakh would be nice... prioritising on mileage, comfort and low/mod service/maintenance cost..any ideas?

Can vouch for Gixxer more, have used both of the bikes and both are nice but personally loved the Gixxer more,no fancy gigs and any clutter pure riding experience. Apache is good too but I'm inclined to simpler things.

Gixxer is simpler yet highly reliable and refined, Yamaha is no joke.

Take a test ride of both and check reviews of both SC near you.

  • I purchased a new Yezdi Adventure in October 2025. On its first long ride (ODO 1400 km) from Vizag to Bangalore, the engine suffered a catastrophic failure near Rajahmundry, resulting in a sudden power loss and white smoke (because of coolant mixing with the fuel) coming from the exhaust.

    Key Points of Failure:

    • Product Reliability: The brand-new engine failed catastrophically at extremely low mileage, pointing to a probable manufacturing defect (gasket/cooling system).
    • RSA Deficiency: Roadside Assistance (RSA) was useless, failing to show up for 5 hours, and ultimately refusing to tow the bike because the service center was closed.
    • Service Negligence: The nearest Service Manager advised me to ride the damaged bike 13 km to the service center, despite critical overheating warnings, risking total engine seizure.
    • Lack of Transparency: After the repair, the service center refused to provide any invoice, bill, or technical report, leading to suspicion they were concealing the true extent of the damage or the root cause.
    • Unresolved Issue: Even after repair, the engine sound is incorrect, a defect confirmed by another service center.

Current Demand: Due to the extreme failure rate and the company’s deficiency in service and transparency, I am demanding a full engine replacement or a refund for the vehicle.

    https://v.redd.it/gf5orej2mf5g1

  • My bike's clutch wire broke while travelling. I thought of RSA for help. They sold me on towing service. Now the issue started. I Waited for more than 2 hrs for them to reach me. And then the blunder happened. There was another bike on the back of the tow truck and there was less space for my bike. Now while pushing my bike up the ramp on the side, due to less space, my bike fell from the truck. It had significant damage amounting to 10k when looked at service centre. Now my insurance is 3rd party so the accident due to these is not covered. I am quite stressed about the payment. Can anyone give some relevant information or suggestions or tell similar incidents and did it get resolved.

  • X440 or X440T??

I was planning on buying the Hero-Davidson X440 this coming Sunday, but with X440T launching on 6th, should I wait for it? Is it worth the extra 10-15k that it would cost?

P.S. I held off on this purchase till now because I was actually waiting for the Nightster 440 for over a year now, that’s the bike I was eyeing for, but I finally realised it isn’t coming anytime soon, so was prepared to pull the trigger on X440 and then out of nowhere came the X440T

  • Planning to buy a Husqvarna Vitpilen 250 – Is it practical for 50km daily commute + weekend rides? Need advice!

Hey guys, I’m a 20 y/o from Ahmedabad and I’m planning to buy my first proper bike. I’m seriously considering the Husqvarna Vitpilen 250. My use-case: Daily commute: ~50 km (to college and back) Weekend/Sunday rides I don’t mind the aggressive posture — it’s not a dealbreaker for me Mostly city riding + occasional open highway stretches around Ahmedabad Why I’m confused: I love the look and punch of the Vitpilen 250, but I’m not sure how practical it’ll be for daily commuting in Ahmedabad heat + traffic. Also curious about mileage in real world, parts availability, and long-term reliability. What I want to know from owners / experts: How comfortable is it for daily 40–60 km?
