Is this not from Danny phantom? I mean I haven’t seen it in years so idr if this was an actual scene but Sam not caring what the other girls are doing and reading a book is pretty in character
Oh wow “Not like other girls” pics are back, man it’s great being back here in 2012. Hey who do you think will win the election Barack Obama or other normal guy Mitt Romney?
lol I’m only on there to keep up with the situation as I find these new memes sometimes funny and always interesting (to see how culture is changing due to the internet)
Everyone loves to sexualize and crush on Sam but they don't respect her as a person and you can tell it extends to the weird people who grow up into adults who fetishize goth women and don't respect them either "because they're annoying".
I didn't find her annoying because she was a goth chick. Sam was annoying because she was vapid, and written in a way to where she just inherently hated and was against typical chick things BECAUSE she was a nonconformist and not because she disliked them in an organic way. Its a failure in writing and not a thing about women or aesthetics.
I didn't say you disliked her for being goth, I said it's gross that people can say she's their crush but also discount her for her beliefs.
She's literally a 14 year old baby bat reacting to the culture of her peers and her wealthy but emotionally neglectful family background.
Her peers engage in a culture that's equally vapid, but they're assured by each other. Sam is very brave for trying to find herself in a meaningful way as opposed to just doing what's expected of her or following others, and sometimes that's going to translate in ways that look preachy because she's trying her best to stand by her convictions when others put her down for them. The only people who seem to accept her as she is are Danny and Tucker, and even then, that has its limits.
Like remember, she's a CHILD. She's not going to be that far off from her peers when it comes to supposed vapidity when it comes to handling issues like wanting to make a statement regarding feminism. I really dislike that she's held to a higher standard for wanting differently and to engage symbolically in something to encourage others to examine themselves in relation to feminine stereotypes. Especially when we got characters like Paulina wanting to take Danny to prom because she thought it would upset Sam. Like how is that better?
Me when I live in the evil totalitarian state where the goverment forces women to carry books on their head for all their life (I will soon be executed)
Just a bunch of girls trying to learn better posture and a better sense of balance by keeping a book on their head, but then there is one girl who is deciding to read her book now instead of earlier when she was sitting, which is now giving her horrible posture as she turns her neck to look down.
But the other girls are complicit in their own subjegation.
I think after everything we have witnessed regarding the culture inherent to pageants that we can agree that they're breeding grounds for self imposed misogyny and arbitrary markers for self worth in young girls, especially because the people running those environments are almost always predators (literally the ghost lady and her brother in the episode, and literally Trump and ilk).
The other girls didn't have to care about Sam, they could just ignore her. She's allowed to join to make a statement.
The longer I am on this subreddit, the more I feel I shouldn't be here.
I think this is a very apt visualisation of how it feels being one of the few ppl that actually care about education and facts, rather than how they appear.

Because he is an artist? That’s the disadvantage of being an artist lmao
Wait did he actually I thought it was AI

Is he stupid?
to make the girl seem quirky n different because shes friends with danny phantom
What do you mean, Why would he draw it? Are you saying you believe you’re so conservative that he be against the notion of a young woman learning?
Oh wow “Not like other girls” pics are back, man it’s great being back here in 2012. Hey who do you think will win the election Barack Obama or other normal guy Mitt Romney?

Podacanastar!!
I mean the subreddit is dead, so something needed to fill the void
they need a bookshelf
My grandma says they had to do this at school. She made me do it a few times as a kid.
The thing is, the adults made the girls do this for posture..?
Yes. Better posture at that time ment more pay.
And less back problems.
Of course yes.
Their learning thru or*ginal
This is the third top comment in a row to misuse "their" in place of "they're" - am I missing something??
No, they’re missing their ability to use grammar, I’m afraid.
Your insane :3
lol idk, I barely use grammar when typing most of the time so 😭🙏✌️ Also, How did you know??
Because you're on r/67club.

Sam would Lowkey post this thinking she was being deep
Completely on character
Well she's literally 14 so
Bad posture is a sign of intelligence
The more crippled the more wise the person is
Just look at Stephen Hawking
22 years old and about to go on disability I must be very very wise
I'm a motherfucking genius then
I've always considered myself nonconformist, but after seeing that character from Danny Phantom when I was a kid, I wondered if I was just annoying.
Nah. Sam was annoying haha. Meanwhile you aren’t THAT passionate about your preferences you are fine.
I loved Sam as a kid

This would have been deep in the 1940s
Being a tween or young teen is so embarrassing. The stuff you say in public will haunt you.
