The presence of 2-3 common Nazi linked symbols-even if altered-is indicative of a dog whistle, hence why I asked if they were part of the characters design. If I just claimed the character or YouTuber were a Nazi, that would have been a knee jerk reaction.

First off almost all symbols the Nazis used were stolen from other previous empires. Hitler was obsessed with history and symbolism, the Iron Eagle is not exclusive to the Nazi party, it can be seen throughout the US and Italy, if you actually look at it there is a US shield in the middle and if you read the comic you would understand it more instead of having a knee jerk reaction, the Iron Cross is also not a German only symbol many Biker Gangs use it which is exactly what LOBO is, a space biker bounty hunter.

The presence of 2-3 common Nazi linked symbols-even if altered-is indicative of a dog whistle, hence why I asked if they were part of the characters design. If I just claimed the character or YouTuber were a Nazi, that would have been a knee jerk reaction.

Hell, the iron cross is used by a skateboard brand, Independent. But using both the eagle and the cross on the same character feels like an odd choice.

I'm admittedly not familiar with the comic, but I'd understand that a bad guy is written with nazi symbols, whether that was the intention or not. That's not really my complaint.
The issue is that the thumbnail in question is complaining that Supergirl is "r-worded trash." Then I see it call the bad guy with nazi symbols "badass" and I can't help but make assumptions about what this creator thinks is badass in comparison to Supergirl. It's not so much that the character looks cool as a buff, demon looking guy with long hair, but that this creator has to call Supergirl "r-worded trash" in relation.
