It might take us awhile to catch up but crime investigation departments have teams solely focused on verifying digital media for legitimacy. But even just being able to generate AI to slander and make accusations is incredibly dangerous and will ruin lives even if it's proven fake after a trial.
The issue is however for those crimes in which evidence is AI generated will they even be given the time of day or scrutiny? Police incompetence and malice already cause evidence proving innocence to be tossed out or ignored. It’s so easy for authorities to just run with whatever they want to believe
You are so right. Law enforcement agencies are slow asf… it has taken decades to even get competent enough to go after cyber crimes. It’s why criminals get away with stuff, but they are getting better.
Sadly some of them are not the most brilliant people. I’ve worked for the government, some of them are stupid asf… it’s why they really need to work with task forces (worked on one), with competent people. Have a buddy who worked as a contractor for the Army doing criminal investigations, you have to outsource and get the right people it you can’t do it yourself.
Man... Shaggy was just born in the wrong generation... If he released his song like 20 years later this mother fucker would have had a decent defense 😆😆
This is why mandatory regulation that includes watermarking or something, it’s like how one of the few things globally people have to work towards and trust (and earn) is a drivers license,
I'll believe it when I see it. AI movements are so obvious in those videos. Only a banana republic or Kangaroo court would convict someone when the only evidence is an AI video. People have been getting caught red handed on real videos for decades and still get to walk.
Do you remember will smith eating spaghetti? This is the worst it will ever be. Think of how intelligent the average person is. And then reflect on the fact that half of all people are less intelligent than that. Some profoundly more so. Uncountable sept/octogenarians on social media are already falling for scams like this daily.
Beyond that, we convict people based on as little as circumstantial evidence daily. Human memory is famously malleable. And susceptible to bias.
The perfection of this technology constitutes the event horizon of a post-truth black hole we’ve been circling since the invention of mass-media and photoshop. We are decidedly fucked. You cannot close Pandora’s box.
that last sentence... you put into words perfectly what I've been trying to tell people how fucked were about to be (as if we weren't fucked enough already). genuinely impressed at how eloquently you described it. Now knowing my luck your gonna tell me chat gpt wrote it lmao
Thank you. And no, that was purely the output of my brain. And the frustration I have felt, for years now, at our species’ marvelous tendency to self-sabotage.
I see we’re getting into the phase when people make fake videos to get people in trouble. How long before we can’t keep up and people wind up in prison for this?
Don’t get me wrong the threat AI and deepfake poses to the very concept of truth is very real, but ai can’t do anything better than what it’s being trained off of.
People have made extremely convincing photoshops and such in the past. This just lowers the barrier of entry to being able to deceive, so we all need to remain vigilant and skeptical unfortunately
Honestly thats super scary. The guy pulling that prank should be charged with something...idk, disorderly conduct? He's causing shit that can really harm a person.
That’s the first thing that I would do. Tell the casino worker to call the police and file a report. I must have done it right? It’s right there on your phone and you’re accusing me of doing it. Call the police and let’s file a sexual assault charge. We can probably get the different view of the assault from the ceiling cameras watching the casino.
The guy either backs down with his fake bullshit or gets sued for libel.
I’m sure the police would get involved if the establishment in which this happened had called them due to a altercation that was caused by this “prank”
Yeah idk why anyone is limiting repercussions to just going to jail. All it takes is doing this to the wrong person, just like any of these other dumbass prank videos. Except this is a whole new realm of tech and these accounts will still be incentivized to push the envelope further the more engagement they get.
This time it’s a guy kissing another guy non-consensually (which, uh…), what happens when it’s someone’s partner or family member? What happens when this person makes an AI video of a child or someone messing with someone else’s kid? Plenty of people wouldn’t hesitate to fuck someone up in a situation like that and they’re even less likely to think straight about what they’re being shown. This is so unbelievably idiotic and bad. Not a great indicator of where we are as a species.
I don’t know if we’re seeing the end of the interactions, but if he eventually admits that he used AI then those people will learn a valuable lesson in not trusting everything they see online. It could actually be a massive positive.
As someone who's had their identity stolen, multiple fraudulent bank accounts in my name , pay day loans , unemployment and taxes , this absolutely terrifies me and makes me hate the people who do these acts you basically SA someone's mental stability.
The edd saying you owe a million dollars and garnishing you out of no where is the biggest fking nightmare. Never having a credit card or loan never having a nice job cuz credit. People who steal identities are the worst
I fucking hate assholes who use AI for shit like this. There will be more of them ... for many years to come ... In a country that refuses to address it ... led by billionaires who have so much to gain by supporting its lack of regulation.
Many people have always been like this though, Ai will just allow them to be assholes easier until we get something that counteracts its use in these ways... probably will end up being more Ai lol
The hive mind giveth the hive mind taketh away. I used it sparingly and learned a lot while optimizing growing food for my family friends and neighbors.
Cautious twords but intentionally familiar with AI is a pretty reasonable place to be.
I always think, the government for sure gets this tech before we know it exists. What have we seen to be real that was actually Ai before we knew it existed.
Can we fucking regulate AI already, shit is out of control, deepfakes are so incredibly easy to create now, dumbasses are using them to prank old people.
this is why AI is dangerous. If people can believe an obviously fake video or photo on facebook, they will definitely believe a convincing AI video that is getting better and better by the day.
This should unquestionably be an arrestable offence. 6 months in jail first time, because there’s no room to feign ignorance here, this is overtly malicious.
Could you imagine having video evidence of a crime and while turning over the evidence you get told they can’t take it because it could possibly be AI. The days of video evidence seems to be fading if AI improves
An I the only one who thinks he's bringing attention to a massive problem in a way that's concerning but not necessarily harmful? I mean not harmful as long as he reveals at the end. Otherwise it's hella harmful. And this is not a bad as an actual apocalypse.
Either people will end up in prison because of ai generated videos or there'll be a functional legal defense that allows videos to no longer be counted as evidence within the next 3 years. Within the next 10 years, there'll be wars fought over ai generated videos. Within the next 5 years, there'll be ai generated scams and viruses that are pretty much unavoidable that'll drain whoever they hit of all their money and leave them with nothing. Within the next year, there'll be ai generated child corn made with the faces of real children. This is all pretty much guaranteed.
To think this is just the beginning is kind of scary. People are going to wind up getting arrested or even worse over stuff like this. Then people who actually do things are going to claim the video is AI. It’s going to be a viscous cycle
Imagine how sideways this would go if the cops were involved and weren't too tech inclined.
Kind of like the guy that got the cops called on him for using a $2 bill by the cashier, thinking it was counterfeit, the cop that responded arrested him too.
People are getting out of control, messing with people in a similar way has been possible for quite a while now, it's just accessible and easy now, people tricking people to be malicious is as old as we've been around, we've just been more uncivilized lately, we need to help fix this stress we're all feeling on society and also seek proper well-being, by acknowledging that our problems are all different, but have the same problems and sources, we're all depressed, we're all slowly starting to lash out at each other instead of carring for each other, we need to all seek a healther society, where all our mental and physical needs are met, so that we can all thrive together again. We have been exploited by this structure imposed on us by the greedy, we're all born the same, we all die the same, instead of trying to hoard wealth, they should be building the utopia we all dreamed of, so that we can all enjoy our collective hard work in society and not just our small cut of the pie that barely feed and is forever shrinking and get told to figure it out. If we all work towards building something, we should all benefit, its only fair!
I still think mandatory watermarks on any artificially generated video or image should be implemented. No exceptions. Try to use AI to get rid of the watermark? Boom. Another watermark.
Use photoshop to get rid of the watermark?
Sure, you can do that, just will take a bit of extra effort that a lot of people won't bother to do. And if they're proud of their AI creations, then they shouldn't want to hide it.
And not a tiny croppable signature in the corner, one of those stock image type watermarks that span the whole output.
How can anyone honestly care so little about others that they think this is a funny and acceptable way to behave? What the fuck is wrong with this world?
False accusations that actually have evidence. That might put you in actual physical danger. Your kind has been crying about false accusations for such a long time. Now they can be backed up with evidence.
This could have been hilarious if he just ended it immediately with, "it's ai and I'm just trying to be funny. Look at the hidden camera hahahaha" why do people keep going?
this has to be staged right? i don't think AI is at this phase yet where you can just record random people in public and quickly widdly doo a video that fast using the environment you're in and people who are standing right next to you. you would need really high quality photos and video of everybody and everything right?
it would not look this good though, unless he took the time to render it out on a high end laptop he had with him. there aren't any smartphone apps that can quickly shit out a video like that. it takes really beefy hardware to the point where really high and gaming desktops would not be able to render a video like that in such a short amount of time
you can find something funny but also rebuke it. This is one of them. The concept of the joke is amazing but no one involved is going to laugh at this video.
The first one, with the right personality, could be funny, especially with the right explanation. The second one is just wrong and criminal as it could get that guy into some deep trouble.
Okay everyone saying that people are going to start going to jail for AI generated videos you sound like the old boomers on Facebook…obviously this sh*t would never hold up in a court of law and never will 😭
That's not really the issue. Most of this shit wouldn't ever make it to court in the first place.
"I saw a video of you shitting in the deep fryer, you're fired"
"I saw a video of you groping my wife asshole" *punch*
"I saw a video of you stealing from us, you're banned from this store"
I do agree with your statement of the common redditor being Lily liver pansies. However, The reality is that it could be used for more malicious intentions like to start a war not that humans need any help with that.

People are gonna end up going to jail over fake AI videos.
Guess we're all gonna need to start wearing body cams just to prove our innocence.
"Who's to say those bodycam videos arent A.I. !?!?!" -Prosecuting attorneys
Shits gonna get wild here real soon!!
Oh uh, I haven't thought of it like that...
I hate living through the death of photographic and video evidence
It might take us awhile to catch up but crime investigation departments have teams solely focused on verifying digital media for legitimacy. But even just being able to generate AI to slander and make accusations is incredibly dangerous and will ruin lives even if it's proven fake after a trial.

And so it begins…
If we’re at that point though, the footage could be AI generated.
What if they AI that video too lol
Watch this become a trend soon and corporate and government will works on this and then there will be a super surveillance
People gonna do some crazy things because of these types of aivideos.
The world is cracked now, and it's only going to get worse and break apart I fear.
Man... Shaggy was just born in the wrong generation... If he released his song like 20 years later this mother fucker would have had a decent defense 😆😆
It wasn't me 🤷🏼
New laws in Korea give jailtime over slanderous AI
This is why mandatory regulation that includes watermarking or something, it’s like how one of the few things globally people have to work towards and trust (and earn) is a drivers license,
Can't wait
I'll believe it when I see it. AI movements are so obvious in those videos. Only a banana republic or Kangaroo court would convict someone when the only evidence is an AI video. People have been getting caught red handed on real videos for decades and still get to walk.
Idk man some cops are pretty fucking dumb.
AI doesn't change that. A dumbassed cop who would arrest you for an AI video would arrest you without it.
True but dont you think it would be easier to do if AI gets out of hand?
Its like saying, a serial killer will strangle you if they don't have a weapon. Yeah, so why would we give a serial killer a weapon to help them?
Read the room, dude.. It's not going to go down like you think..
Your boos mean nothing, I see what makes you guys cheer
🤦 good lord..
Indeed, good lord. People really be out here thinking an AI video is gonna get them sent to jail 😂😂
Do you remember will smith eating spaghetti? This is the worst it will ever be. Think of how intelligent the average person is. Hey dumbass, a cop will arrest people for any dumb reason with or without AI and this is not new.
I see we’re getting into the phase when people make fake videos to get people in trouble. How long before we can’t keep up and people wind up in prison for this?
I think at some point people just won’t trust video anymore
Nah, government will star to control it and doesn’t sounds like a good thing either so…… yeah we are doomed
It might not be all doom and gloom,
Don’t get me wrong the threat AI and deepfake poses to the very concept of truth is very real, but ai can’t do anything better than what it’s being trained off of.
People have made extremely convincing photoshops and such in the past. This just lowers the barrier of entry to being able to deceive, so we all need to remain vigilant and skeptical unfortunately
Difference is. Photoshop requires skill. AI is accessible to zero IQ folks who like to bully people.
Eventually this will be illegal to do.
This would be funny as long as he admitted it was a prank and got less serious stuff.
Honestly thats super scary. The guy pulling that prank should be charged with something...idk, disorderly conduct? He's causing shit that can really harm a person.
Entrapment. Falsifying evidence. Wrongful statement. Misleading information. My favorite is self incriminating.
Thank you. I'm not well versed in bird law.....
Sorry, I forgot, where did you go to law school again?
Uh... filibuster.
Filibust on this
Those would only apply if he went to the police.

The word if is doing a lot of work in your statement.
Maybe even slander or libel? Defamation?
defamation?
Maybe elder abuse as well? Though it only applies if they are older that 60.
He tries that kissing thing on some macho asshole and could lead to some innocent dude getting hurt.
Yeah idk why anyone is limiting repercussions to just going to jail. All it takes is doing this to the wrong person, just like any of these other dumbass prank videos. Unless repercussions, I think this stuff is just going to be more common soon unfortunately...content creators just want more views...
I don’t know if we’re seeing the end of the interactions, but if he eventually admits that he used AI then those people will learn a valuable lesson in not trusting everything they see online. It could actually be a massive positive.
Charged? Calm down Karen. I get the point but simmer down he’s trolling and its funny as fuck. They’ll be fine
Let's hope you become a victim of these people
As long as he explains the prank at the end its fine lol. If he doesn’t theeeen thats pretty bad. I understand the implications
Next election cycle should be interesting.
As someone who's had their identity stolen, multiple fraudulent bank accounts in my name , pay day loans , unemployment and taxes , this absolutely terrifies me and makes me hate the people who do these acts you basically SA someone's mental stability.

I fucking hate AI.
Ive got video proof of you saying you love AI though
I got video proof they're also kermit from the muppets. Frogs can't type, so they freaking must be using AI!
I think Coolsville sucks!
I fucking hate assholes who use AI for shit like this. There will be more of them ... for many years to come ... In a country that refuses to address it ... led by billionaires who have so much to gain by supporting its lack of regulation.
I'm hatefucking AI
m'i AIfucking hate
i Ate AFucking HIA
Many people have always been like this though, Ai will just allow them to be assholes easier until we get something that counteracts its use in these ways... probably will end up being more Ai lol
Man chat gpt was super helpful with my garden this season. I wish that is where it stopped.
[deleted]
The hive mind giveth the hive mind taketh away. I used it sparingly and learned a lot while optimizing growing food for my family friends and neighbors.
Cautious twords but intentionally familiar with AI is a pretty reasonable place to be.
I think I can make a garden without crapgpt, or ai really
Trying to bait that first guy to swing on the older gentleman. This shit is so dumb
What a loser. Sounds old enough to know better.
This shit pissed me tf off
Won't take long anymore until first people will be killed directly by fake AI videos
Oh yeah, I can see someone making a video of someone's wife or husband cheating on them.
People have already killed themselves because of AI chat bots, so, agreed....
I sure hope this video guy ends up in jail.
Progress is when video evidence becomes worthless
AI is a weapon, it will be used to enslave all of humanity, and it needs to be destroyed.
We need the Bene Gesserit to help carry this out.
AI is in your walls and will kill you when you sleep too
It's a psychological weapon.. if some dipshit in a casino can do this imagine what the government can do with it... Sheesh...
I always think, the government for sure gets this tech before we know it exists. What have we seen to be real that was actually Ai before we knew it existed.
Believe nothing, trust no one, question everything.
AI Trump 2028
Can we fucking regulate AI already, shit is out of control, deepfakes are so incredibly easy to create now, dumbasses are using them to prank old people.
Fuck Sam cuckman.
Slippery slope
This is what the guy that created the fake video deserves.
AI could cause an apocalypse
this is why AI is dangerous. If people can believe an obviously fake video or photo on facebook, they will definitely believe a convincing AI video that is getting better and better by the day.
Oh my lord, I have to convince my aunt that everything she sees is fake on Facebook . They already have a hard time getting scammed on regular stuff
Using AI to purposefully misinform people should straight up be illegal. AI needs to be heavily regulated before its too late.
James O’Keefe was a prophet. He proved that any technology can be twisted to serve his own pathetic self interest.
Fuck already. I thought we were still a couple of years away a from this
AI is going exactly where we thought it would go
Yep, and this is the stuff that the entire world's governments are pouring insane amounts of money into.
A Welcome to the Future moment for sure...
The dangers of A.I. folks....
This should unquestionably be an arrestable offence. 6 months in jail first time, because there’s no room to feign ignorance here, this is overtly malicious.
Laws need to be in place that severely punish people for making fake videos that affect others lives.
I predict this is going to be a serious crime in the future. He’s literally creating false criminal evidence.
Fucking lowlife preying on older people because a) they don’t really understand AI and b) he knows they’re likely unable to whoop his punk ass.
These people deserve to be in jail. This has to be a crime. It should be a crime.
Man, this would actually be kinda funny if, after getting a reaction, he told them it was AI.
Could you imagine having video evidence of a crime and while turning over the evidence you get told they can’t take it because it could possibly be AI. The days of video evidence seems to be fading if AI improves
They see a prank but someone's going to get smashed up over one of these and they'll just run off laughing.
I laughed so hard
As fucked up as this is, the neck kiss had me rolling
I don't hate AI just because of what some jerkass misuses it for.
I honestly agree
plot twist, this video is also AI
I actually love real time Turing tests.
* "with AI video"... the "fake" is redundant...
Dayum
Eventually people are gonna make these type of videos but the videos themselves are going to be AI and it’s gonna trigger people
To think this is just the beginning is kind of scary. People are going to wind up getting arrested or even worse over stuff like this. Then people who actually do things are going to claim the video is AI. It’s going to be a viscous cycle
Get a broken bumper, mount a rear camera on your car and brake check a guy, make a fake video to proof he rear ended you and show it to the insurance.
There's should be disclaimers posted on every AI video out there and shit like this is gonna cause fights.
Imagine how sideways this would go if the cops were involved and weren't too tech inclined. Kind of like the guy that got the cops called on him for using a $2 bill by the cashier, thinking it was counterfeit, the cop that responded arrested him too.
Second video guy is definitely John Malkovich, that reaction was not Ai generated
bro bfr. Hes targeting old people too
Plot twist, the whole video is AI generated including life itself
ram price goes spike and stealing african water just to create misinformation machine
“Who the fuck… are you!”
I lost my shit at that
False accusations are illegal. Ai is dumb.
imagine cops doing this and putting people in court.
The first one just shows how stupid people are. Like, you didn't feel someone do that to you if they did it?
I’d support heavy penalty for people who push this garbage on our society
People are getting out of control, messing with people in a similar way has been possible for quite a while now, it's just accessible and easy now, people tricking people to be malicious is as old as we've been around, we've just been more uncivilized lately, we need to help fix this stress we're all feeling on society and also seek proper well-being, by acknowledging that our problems are all different, but have the same problems and sources, we're all depressed, we're all slowly starting to lash out at each other instead of carring for each other, we need to all seek a healther society, where all our mental and physical needs are met, so that we can all thrive together again. If we all work towards building something, we should all benefit, its only fair!
Naw this is hilarious
This dude is a menace lol
This is not funny at all, this is awful
Like how do I know if this video as a whole is not AI?
Thats so shitty
I still think mandatory watermarks on any artificially generated video or image should be implemented. No exceptions. Try to use AI to get rid of the watermark? Boom. Another watermark.
Use photoshop to get rid of the watermark?
Sure, you can do that, just will take a bit of extra effort that a lot of people won't bother to do. And if they're proud of their AI creations, then they shouldn't want to hide it.
And not a tiny croppable signature in the corner, one of those stock image type watermarks that span the whole output.
This is so enraging that i think someone is going to get hurt over this kind of "prank".
What a dystopian world we live in
How can anyone honestly care so little about others that they think this is a funny and acceptable way to behave? What the fuck is wrong with this world?
Taking I banged your Mom jokes to a whole new level with this 🤣
Hahaha this is hilarious 😂
Hilarious until it's you, it's funny because you're not the one being in danger
In danger of what? lol
Emphasis on COULD
Okay but why did he believe the video? You'd think he notice someone aggressively kissing the back of his neck
this has to be staged right? i don't think AI is at this phase yet where you can just record random people in public and quickly widdly doo a video that fast using the environment you're in and people who are standing right next to you. you would need really high quality photos and video of everybody and everything right?
You just need one image really
it would not look this good though, unless he took the time to render it out on a high end laptop he had with him. there aren't any smartphone apps that can quickly shit out a video like that. it takes really beefy hardware to the point where really high and gaming desktops would not be able to render a video like that in such a short amount of time
I’m just really not a fan of public anymore. The people are too weird
Hilarious ngl
Jail
you can find something funny but also rebuke it. This is one of them. The concept of the joke is amazing but no one involved is going to laugh at this video.
What if it's you? Is it hilarious?
The first one, with the right personality, could be funny, especially with the right explanation. The second one is just wrong and criminal as it could get that guy into some deep trouble.
To be fair that was pretty funny
Shame on him!
And...
What app did he use?
Hypocrisy
Okay everyone saying that people are going to start going to jail for AI generated videos you sound like the old boomers on Facebook…obviously this sh*t would never hold up in a court of law and never will 😭
That's not really the issue. Most of this shit wouldn't ever make it to court in the first place.
"I saw a video of you shitting in the deep fryer, you're fired" "I saw a video of you groping my wife asshole" *punch* "I saw a video of you stealing from us, you're banned from this store"
Oh shut up bro, you’re making up weird fantasies that would never happen 🤣
Can you back up that they are just "weird fantasies" or are you just dismissing it off-hand till you are rightfully the victim getting decked?
