    I worked at a vet clinic and one particular light pole was the favorite peeing pole. One day, a dog hiked his leg on the pole and it fell over. No one was harmed, thankfully.

    curious if other countries do the same thing or if dogs peeing on poles is more problematic in Japan.

    what is it about the bottles that helps prevent corrosion? does it somehow deter dogs or act as a protective barrier? do you know why they they don't just use some kind of coating or plastic/rubber shield to wrap around the poles?
