With that said the tape is sadly quite mid. Not sure what I wanted from Max but it’s not hitting.

First impression - It's great that these two are back together making music, but I couldn't help but noticing how tired and labored Max sounded overall. And while that's not really a fair criticism, I found myself going back to tracks like Steak Sauce or Coke Wave, hoping that version of Max would pop up here.

I also found some of the beat selection to be ill-fitting--Ever Since U Left Me does not belong on a Coke Wave record, sorry.

Metro Wave, on the other hand, is a standout track and quintessential Coke Wave.

Whatever you think about the projects Max has come out with in 2 months after doing 16, can we agree that he’s still got it? He’s gotta start walking on the treadmill before he runs.

Ask yourself this, what rapper has ever done murder years in prison, come out and been successful? Literally none. The only rappers that have been successful after prison only did unpaid tax/illegal weapon time (1 - 3) not 16!
