• They will be forced to read the wiki and to abide by its rules

  • I realize I should have titled this something like "They will be forced to read the new posting guide", but I hope I can be forgiven this once. Also please let me know if it won't let you view it! I had a heck of a time getting the wiki working.

  • They will read the posting guidelines, or get the hose!

“It puts the butter basting on its skin, And then back into the oven, again.”

  • Inshallah this will be a unique and thriving subreddit

Okay as a Muslim, I of course don't mind the use of alhamdulillah and mashallah and inshallah but I have to ask, where did that originate for cat memes? Was it sister Minnie who popularized it?

It's the original meme that inspires it mostly. I think it also adds a joyous flair that says not only will we bake the cat, but we will celebrate it too!

Reading this a year late, but "we will celebrate it too" made me laugh out loud, ha ha.

I think it was because the original “he will be baked” meme said “alhamdulilah.” I always thought it was an Arabic speaker who made the meme but idk.

There at least used to be a very cute Facebook group called Cats Being Muslim.

The name of Allah(el-ilah) is indicating "the God". It doesn't belong to any religion. Anyone who is referring the only and one God can use it(and in fact Arabic speaking Christians are using it). It has become some kind of gimmick since the original comment (pinned post) has alhamdulillah in it.

    Btw who is sister minnie?

Yup I know, I'm arab too. People just associate it with Muslims more in the west.

Sister Minnie is a cat that went viral because her owner always talks to her like she's Muslim basically. It's really cute. Here's her Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/zainah.mb?igsh=OTI0YmxuMHBlMGww

  • This guide will shine above all else guides, for being such an excellent and thorough guide.

Why thank you. I'm glad I can use those creative writing classes for something.

  • This is such a good guide! I enjoyed reading it

I do occasionally still see dryer/washing machine posts here tho. And I think the dishwasher should be on that list as well

Thank you so much! It was a group effort, though I did try to make it somewhat entertaining so happy it was. The cats in dryers thing is something we were talking about for a bit, but they have gotten too frequent so we'll start to crack down.

I added a specific mention of dishwashers because you're right, I did have a kitten get stuck in a thankfully empty one for a couple of hours because cats are stupid haha
