What happened?? What is the genuine reason for this nonsense?? My only option is a terrible thread of sponsored posts in r/popular instead of the far superior r/all I’ve been using for literal decades. Just… What? Why? How? Who? When will this be resolved??
Imagine McDonalds putting out a statement that said "Great news, we eliminated the BigMac to streamline the experience!"
Presumably, in an effort to channel people into more "curated" content, they want to forcefully not allow us to use Reddit in the way that maximizes the whole point of Reddit: Stumbling onto niche stories and small communities you would never have encountered otherwise. That's the joy of Reddit.
But, sure, thanks for "streamlining" it for me. I really appreciate it.
More like one day you go to McDonalds and the Big Mac just isn't there anymore and the only announcement was buried in a 20 page press release that went out from the Boise McDonalds a week ago.
Dude i've got no idea who thought getting rid of /all was a good idea? it's so dumb. Dead app on my phone until this is fixed, and the fact that this needs to be "Fixed" is so frustrating. Someone was paid money for this decision and i think that's a real shame to be wasting money on someone who just wastes oxygen.
Like at least hide it away or something? nope just completely remove it no one will notice!
Stop trying to shove r/popular down our throats. It sucks. Literally the first thing I see is a sponsored post. Stop ruining the site
Agreed.
Awful decision.
The one thing we can do is get off the app until r/all is back
Reddit clearly is coy about this change since it's only in A/B testing, aka rolled out only to some users, to check the reaction. If the results of the experiment are that people disengage with Reddit, they will listen
It's the only way to get r/all back, as it clearly was a decision from the top
Well, where the heck is our r/popular because I can't find that
This has occurred like 3 times in the last couple of years. It was so easy.
r/all for what the world cares about Home for that I care about.
Couldn’t have made it any easier. Yet here we are!
When will it be back?
UPDATE: r/all is now available on my mobile app. Thank you to all the up-voters and commenters. We’re so back!
Where do you find it? Can’t find it on the apple reddit app.
It just showed up on the left sidebar. I also use apple. Hope you find it.
It’s gone for me still. Looks like Reddit is doing split rollouts and testing. Likely will be gone for everyone soon.
