I've been saying it's less about colossus and more about the freeze and armor for the win condition in a lot of games. Especially the elemental with miniature. The toki version has so many cards in common.
yeah both freeze and armor are really important in this meta because other classes have insane stats on their creatures and mage doesn't have much options to counter them
If yuo want the actual freeze mage experience play hostage mage on wild, that mf deck has infinite frost nova, alibi, ice block and can loop the sleet skater with pot, any board based deck is countered hard by ts
