Two of the Murozond cards are Priest and two are Whatever.

How does this make sense.

If this had been a Priest portrait, where it would make sense, I'd have bought it in a heart beat. But for Warlock? There is no connection in lore, and not in Hearthstone either, and Warlock has a half dozen amazing skins already.

At this point it is clear the hatred towards Priests must be personal by someone in the dev team.

  • N'zoth is also a Warlock skin. Believe it or not but shadow priest is the closest thing to N'zoth. Shadow Priests have literally talent called Idol of N'zoth in WoW

  • They did this with Velen too, making him a neutral instead of a Priest legendary in GDB.

    I wouldn't be surprised if they just stopped printing cards for Priest next year with the way they treat the class.

    They cannibalize the class flavor and give it nothing to compensate.

    • Rogue imbue 1 mana permanent cards > Priest imbue 2 mana temporary cards

    They don't even try to hide the fact that they beta test cards and abilities with Priest only to farm out better versions to other classes. Remember Power Word Tentacle vs Spikeridge Steed? How about Surrender to Madness vs Embiggen?

    At least tram heist hasn't had a rogue variation yet. Sort of. Mixtape is only 1 card and from any point in the game. Vanessa Vancleef and Mirrex are only the last card played and plagiarize has to be played before their turn instead of after, however considering control priests hand size limitations you'd never get full value out of tram heist anyway.

  • You are correct, also because Priests Light/Shadow theme is connected to the Bronze/Infinite theme. But I guess Murozond=bad must be Warlock then, Blizzard logic.

    They are doing a lot of annoying swaps like this lately and as a lore nerd it super annoys me. Broxiagar is Demon Hunter but should be Warrior. Shandris Feathermoon is Warrior but should be Hunter. Those two heroes were even datamined to have the correct class reactions to their class cards so its obvious it was last minute change. No idea why is Blizzard doing this but its super stupid.

    Warlock skins sell better because the class is better. There are a lot of good ass skins for this class already. Mecha Jaraxxus, Nzoth and Sargeras are good skins already. Give Priests some love too

    Broxigar is a warrior but ABSOLUTELY fits in DH though. Theres very few DH characters to use outright and I think including the legendary orc who slew so many demons it caught Sargeras’s attention is fine.

  • It’s giving the store strategy is being outsourced to China or something, twilight dragonflight might appear shadowy (still old god connected which would be Priest anyway) but the infinite dragonflight is time + void so if anything this should be a mage + priest skin.

    Personally speculating, I imagine restoring 2 health wasn’t deemed cool/evil enough for the big bad of the expansion. Also, Warlock hasn’t a single Diamond siin, while Priest already had Xal’atath and Talanji. Giving it a 3rd and leaving Warlock with 0 can’t have been the greatest decision either.

    I left the game around the time those came in, but aren't the diamond skins the ones that move? Because if they are, Warlock has a Rafaam and Felfire Ragnaros. Correct me if I don't know it tho, I actually don't know it

    Not quite, Rafaam is Legendary and Ragnaros is Mythic.

    Legendary skins ($25, largely deprecated) are supposed to have more animations and all have a personalized hero tray as opposed to the copy-pasted Diamond one shared between all Diamond heroes.

    They have been mostly replaced with Diamonds ($25 as well) which are easier to produce.

    Mythic skins ($60-168) take over half of the board with larger hero trays and new 3D board assets, have custom hero power buttons, and elaborate attack animations where they pop out of the frame.

  • Since this is a diamond skins and it uses a 3d-model they probably programmed an animation for when you click the hero power and were like 'this doesn't look like healing at all and I'm too lazy to re-do it so we'll just make it lifetap.'
