This might be a dumb question, but I’ve just come back to the game for the first time since the end of support and I genuinely don’t know what happened.
My opponent had about 40 cards in his deck and they were playing literally only Cintrian Guards. It’s like every single card in their deck was Cintrian Guards.
Have I missed a change to some card that copies your units in deck/hand?
Looks like you played the weekly mode. It's either Royal Guards or Renfri Gang+Jugglers. There was also a version with Mardroeme+crows and seagulls+funeral boats.
yes, it was the weekly mode. i should’ve specified.
i guess i must be misinterpreting how it works, because my deck just got turned into a bunch of random cards. is there a way you can guarantee them turning into a specific card?
Cintrian Royal Guard is a NR unit with a crafting cost of 30 scraps (common). You put in your deck a copy of every common NR unit except a royal guard and all those cards transform into royal guards.
The most common deck is Renfri Gang+Iron Knife Juggler. Both are neutral units with 80 scraps cost (rare), so you put in the deck a copy of every neutral rare unit except those 2 and you have a deck made of those 2. From what I remember, the most common leader ability for this deck was SK Reckless Flurry and ST Invigorate.
This mode is boring, but it might be useful if you need to complete a contract for triggering bonded or bleeding.
ohhh okay, i see. i somehow didn’t consider “gaming” it this way with the rarity. this makes perfect sense, thank you.
Did not sign up for this is a broken mode. Don’t engage.
I mean, if they literally had a deck that just consisted of 40 copies of Cintrian Guard that would be impossible, i.e. cheating. But King Foltest can spawn copies of a card on your board into your deck, Queen Adalia can create a copy of a card that's in your hand and there might be other methods I'm not thinking of. Of course, Reaver Scouts can create copies of cards that are already on board. There are legit ways to play many, many copies of Cintrian Guard.
