(Glock 19 gen 5 mos) Added a tlr 1 simply for the benefits of it going past the slide and just a basic optic, I do need holster brands anyone can recommend for iwb that fits the light and optic, and maybe a waist rig ideas, I do want to get a aftermarket slide and a threaded barrel so I can add a muzzle but we shall see and want to also maybe get some goon tape for grip

  • My friend has his 19 set up very similarly. I recommend he used Close Quarter Carry for his holster. He got a dual layered holster and says it’s more comfortable to carry than his p365 xmacro tacops.

  • Update on my first handgun. This is a Glock 19 Gen 5 MOS. Since the last post I added a Streamlight TLR-1 HL for a full-size light that extends past the slide and a basic optic to start learning dots. Still new to handguns and figuring out what works for me. Looking for recommendations on IWB holsters that accommodate a light and optic (leaning toward Enigma/Floodlight style setups), and open to advice on grip options, carry comfort, and general setup choices.

    Better to see the whites of their eyes! LOL. It might help prevent anyone from pushing back on the slide, but I prefer flush-mounted lights/lasers.

  • Solid attachment choices. TLR1 series is probably the best pistol light on the market (and before anyone tries to say I'm wrong, and that it's the X300, I'm not wrong, YOU are wrong, because Streamlight offers TLR1s that match, or BEAT EVERY X300, INCLUDING THE X300T, for WAY less money, and, the TLR1 has better switches), and WAY more bang for the buck than an X300, and the Holosun is the gold standard for budget red dots.

    Yes 100% I got this tlr for 100 bucks with the holosun for 50 so 150 total it was such a big steal, I was buying the holosun by it self for 150 but decided to ask the dude if he had the tlr 1 because I couldn’t find it in store and didn’t want to wait for shipping and luckily he threw it in

  • Hogue sells Glock grip sleeves that you can put over the stock grip. They're around $20, so can buy one without much wasted money if you don't like it.

    I've never shot a Glock with a hogue grip, but my revolver has a hogue grip and I love it.

  • I have a vedder belt and protuck holster (do not use for appendix carry), but mine is a smaller s&w m&p 9 shield, so ymmv. Easy financial rabbit hole to dive down, though.
