These guns are very old, they belonged to my great grandfather and he’s been gone for 47 years. Please excuse the mess, we are cleaning out my grandparents house and have things all over the place 😅 I will post the remaining pictures in the comments
I think this is the winner! Sears and Roebuck was a really big thing in my town back then as were the catalogs. The pictures on google are a dead ringer and one of the specs was that it was made with a 2 3/4 chamber. All I could make out on the barrel of the picture on my profile was the 2 and word chamber but I can see the 3/4 now.
Yup. I have one that I bought for the princely sum of $20 - I know the guy at my local gun store, and he kind of threw it in with another shotgun I was buying.
It's really nicely made, and definitely worth more than $20 lol
I can’t figure out how to edit the original post, but like I said above they were stolen in a burglary and the pictures are all we have. Addt info that might be helpful since someone mentioned ww1 and ww2- my great grandpa was alive from 1909 to 1978 and was enlisted from 1943 to 1945. I have other pictures including the markings on the barrel but we can’t make out what they say
I’ve got the other pictures on my profile. I think I figured out what the other one is. I believe it’s a Steven’s Model 94 with the tenite plastic stock. I remember it as being very light with a plastic feel on the butt
I will edit the original post, I forgot to include that the house was broken into and they were stolen. Unfortunately we didn’t record the serial or anything when we found them. I’m just seeing if anyone can identify them in case they show up at a pawn shop in the area. We already have the police looking into it
While the neighbor is quite a dick, we believe it was the guy we had there patching the roof a couple days ago. We looked him up on my case and he’s got a rap sheet a mile long of thefts and burglaries. We needed someone that was able to patch it fast as we’re getting rain here in Indiana so there wasn’t much vetting that happened. Hindsight is 20-20
I won't guess at the model because there's others here better at that. That Cutts Compensator on the end is pretty uncommon to see nowadays though so should be a pretty easy way to at least semi ID it.
Kind of looks like my JC Higgins model 20. I believe they were made by High Standard.
I’m going to second this. I have a JC Higgins that was my grandfathers. Looks very similar
My granddad had one just like it in 12 gauge. They sold them at Sears.
I’ve got my great grandfathers that he bought out of the catalogue in the 50s for like $40. It’ll still kill turkeys but it tends to jam
Yea it’s definitely that, my sister and her husband were gifted one a few weeks ago from his uncle and it looks exactly the same.

The JC Higgins Model 20 is a terrific gun! I won a trap competition with one. Congrats on the acquisition
EDIT: If there’s a silver medallion on the bottom aft end of the stock, it’s a Model 20 for sure

Got mine for $100 probably 5 years ago. Recently saw one for sale at a gun show for $220. Not bad.
Polychoke
Thats a JC Higgins 200 / High Standard Flite-King
It seems I can’t post photos in the comments, can mods advise how I can upload the rest of the photos?
post to something else like imgur and post that link
Make an album on imgur and link it. Also take pictures of any text you see, use lots of light.

You should be able to upload to Imgur and then copy the links. What other guns?

Looks like a winchester model 10 but i could be wrong. These were a very popular choice for hunters during and after ww1-ww2
Do you mean a Remington model 10?
Yeah i don't know why i put winchester lmfao just realized this now thank you for that
Sweet looking shotty.
Just FYI. A lot of old guns DON’T have serial numbers.
And some go overboard with serial numbers such as the auto 5. Everywhere... even the screws...
My father has one in 12 and 20 gauge. I believe that’s an adjustable choke on the end of it. For duck hunting, skeet and trap. Great shotgun.
Jc Higgins I have one similar mine just has a different choke on the front. Great shooting gun
Looks a tiny bit like a Winchester Warcrime Machine
That’s what I was thinking but it’s missing a couple of key prices
Most of them will have words on them. Read those words.

I bet a neighbor is the thief

You don’t have to be a dick dude if you don’t know what it is move on
Thank you! I know I’m just a dumb female but I’m not that stupid.
Hey anyone interested in firearms is cool and intelligent in my book lol it’s a great hobby and firearm recognition just comes with time

And also not correct!
Cutts compensator ?

Possibly a Remington 870. Older model.
Judging by the stock, I don't think it's a FN Herstal P-90.
That looks to be a shotgun 👍🏻
Not if you load it with slugs!
thats the fucking fallout tv show shotgun
