I had one last year where i bought one got ho.e after some errands and got a call to come pick it up. Was like 4 hours. Havent waited more than 2 days for anything since that one.
It’s so weird. Mine are all 3-4 days. Not a big deal but it’s weird to see some people get consistent same-day approvals and others 2-days and others even more.
I filed a form one last spring on a Friday morning and got an approval by Monday morning, just over 24 hours of business day, and most of that during the least productive times, which I imagine are probably even less productive for government workers. I filed three form 1's between about 1 and 1:30 Eastern Time on January first and haven't seen a hint of movement on them. If they clear out a few thousand each day they might recover from the current backlog by year's end, assuming everybody stops filing them right now.
Personally, I had to try to certify my form 4 with Silencer Shop 6-7 times before it finally went through and that was other people's experience as well.
The whole system is overloaded and timing people out like crazy.
Had to take a break and retry to certify an hour later last Tuesday for the other two cans that I have in jail. I think after trying 20 or so times, it worked.
First can I bought took five months for approval. That was 2019. Second one in 2024 took 48 hours. I was fully prepared for another long wait so that email was a nice surprise.
That’s where KUSA engraved their logo. Not much real estate left under the trigger guard. I like it in the pistol format, because I don’t have to ask for permission to travel with it across state lines.
KUSA KP9 in OEM tiger stripe Cerakote finish. Suppressor is the Rugged Obsidian 9. Optic is the Vortex Razor 3 MOA RDS. Aftermarket parts include Cerakoted in burnt bronze SB brace, KGB skeletonized pistol grip, unknown manufacturer cheese grater upper HG, FIME group HG lower, ALG EL trigger.
I have bought 5 since you could E-File cans…all five came back within 5 days. One came back in 8 hours which was crazy. I paid for a resilient arms simple man and submitted 12/16 and I still haven’t gotten approved. What’s crazy is that I feel like we’re back in the paper days. who would’ve thought we would be antsy at almost a month in 😂
Have your FFL check their approved eforms. I submitted a can on 12/12 and it was all crickets. I never got an approval email from the ATF, but sure enough, I was approved on 12/18 and my FFL had my approved form. If you were denied, you would’ve got the denial email by now.
It’s crazy to see all of these form approvals happen same day. I just did my form 1 submission & knowing my luck I won’t get an approval till mid February.
There’s more that goes into the approval process than just a NICS background check. Sure, a common name could cause a delay. My legal name is one of a kind in the US and it still took me weeks before Jan 1st and 6 days after. Meanwhile, you’ll get people posting in r/NFA about same day approvals.

My usual pre-Jan 1st was 3 weeks on avg.

Yeah I think they listed in their website (or possibly somewhere else) they received over 150,000 form submissions on January 1st.
Edit: I have 4 suppressors and 2 SBRs in jail at LGS and I cannot even submit forms. It just denies it every time

Damnit, I also have one in jail with them also. I’m still waiting on the Form 3. Thankfully I don’t NEED any cans but this is wild
Yeah, kinda what was expected to be fair. I'd encourage your LGS to keep trying to certify your form if you're comfortable doing so.
On the plus side, I certified Friday evening and got my approval email Tuesday morning 😎
My wife made a trust with her oldest, and it keeps saying his forms and fingerprints aren't in. He did the fingerprints at one of their kiosks >.<.
From what others have tracked, we should be pushing 700k by now.

Purchased 12/18/26 still waiting on approval with tax stamp paid....
now sbr it also for free
That would require engraving the lower and ruining the factory cerakote.
just use wd40 corrosion inhibitor or something dude it'll be fine, worth it for real stock + dong or whatever.
You can pick where the lower gets engraved; just put it on the bottom of the trigger guard.

So are there no longer fees for suppressors or sbr?
no $200 "tax stamp" anymore, it's literally a "$0 tax stamp".
Well thats just neat
PP-19 is such an underrated weapon imo. Very nice
How do they handle? I’m torn between an Ak-105 (prob a psa one) or a pp-19

FYI I'm pretty sure your 12/16 submission has been cancelled and refunded and you'll have to resubmit.
Not necessarily true. The ATF just forgot to send out the approval emails around Christmas and New Year’s.

I appreciate it man. Apparently they didn’t know the ATFs system wasn’t sending emails and it was approved on 12/17 and I submitted 12/16.
I remember holding off on buying kusa rifles because I thought they would last longer than the imports would…
Yeah I wish I would have picked up a KP9. If they ever come back I'm getting one asap.
Now that KUSA has completed been dissolved as a company, your best bet is to find one preowned.
Yeah sadly, I should find one sooner rather than later.
I’m in the same boat. 😔
Wait suppressors are only a few day wait now?
Yes. I submitted my form Jan 1st and got approved Jan 4th
Nice. Thank you
Been that way for well over a year now
I submitted 3 can on the 4th. 2 came back on the 7th, the last on the 8th.
Not if you form 1.
Does this make me get a KP9 now?
Gosh, that gorgeous.
God that paint job and grip look sick together

Where did you get your fingerprinting done at? Just gauging random commenters.
What if you have an extremely common name?

We cant even get into the site right now to process the forms for people wanting supressors. Has been crashed since jan 1
The site is up. That’s how I got this can and filed two more form 4s two days ago.
Damn we still cant get thru. Can get on the site but ends up with error message every time
Yup, same here. It took me 20 submission attempts with my FFL before it finally went through
they hit like a baffle strike?
Never had a baffle strike
Dat paint job too
I love the original factory tiger stripe cerakote.
Looking pretty

Akv doesn't have a shoulder on the barrel. Really need a face adapter.
