Good morning Commanders! Would you like to read the reports?

Please use this thread to discuss anything about Girls Frontline instead of creating a new thread. Ask questions, seek assistance, rants, add more salt or just chill in general.

  • I was rewatching the middling anime when I finally noticed PPS-43 wield a UMP in the second episode just before the Scarecrow fight.

This is only large because I finally claimed the battle pass rewards. I decided to upgrade and get the one with the extra cosmetics this time around, so I managed to finish level 45 much earlier, too!

  • What does Dual Randomness refer to? The other titles in GFL events refer to either math, physics, or psyche concepts, but I couldn't find what DR referred to.

YZ: It’s actually easy to interpret this time, since it can be taken more literally. Dual refers to two stories happening at the same time and Randomness refers to the unknowns that the commander and Ange will face in the future.

From an interview with Yuzhong and the writing team back then.

    Ah! Thank you thank you.

I suppose this is decent! I think that I've now secured a foothold into 200k. I should still try to build up my core count as I enter into this new territory before I start dumping on heavy core expenditures like Fairy crafting

  • Are there any "rate-up" banner in this game ? I wanted to make an echelon with 4 specific tdolls (because I like their design, I dgaf about meta). But looking at the wiki, it's 3% rate, split across all 5-star from the category I build (in this case, I want 4 AR). It's like impossible to get the 4 exact ones I want.

Are there any “rate-up” banner in this game

There are two types of rate-ups for dolls: targeted and general. The former boosts only a few dolls, while the latter boosts all 4/5* dolls. Both will double the rate for boosted dolls (and reduce 2/3* rates), making general rate-ups much better than targeted ones.

According to our community manager, the next general rate-up will be around the Lunar New Year, so ~mid-February.

But looking at the wiki, it’s 3% rate, split across all 5-star from the category I build

Take any gameplay information from the wiki with a grain of salt, as there’s a decent amount of outdated or just incorrect info.

This site scans the ingame crafting logs for reliable empirical data on craft rates. Explanation on how to use it here. You’ll see that craft rates vary quite a bit by recipe, such as with the standard AR recipe having a ~9% 5* rate and the standard SMG recipe having a ~6% rate.

There used to be, but for some reason, they seem to have disappeared. We expected three of them every year: New Year, Anniversary (in May), and sometime in the autumn (September or October). I think the last time we've had one was back last year, during the 2025 Anniversary. I sure hope that we get at least that one this year in that case. Still, save up your resources and your contracts and then wait until then!

  • Does collapse radiation expand over time?

I had always thought that collapse radiation was like nuclear radiation, where the effect lessens over a distance and lessens over time.

But a chat with Gemini made me think that collapse radiation continously expand, meaning it wouldn't disappear over time.

  • I just beat Cube 2-3 with Gager and I also just remembered architect and her relationship in story... felt quite fun thingking about that story and the map story

  • I'm slowly getting all my T-dolls to Mod 3 for the art, but shards are quite the bottleneck. I have to be patient. Lately I finished PPK Mod, Calico Mod and 416 Mod. Type 56, Lee Enfield and G3 are still waiting for shards.

I also got to shoot a real Walther PP* finally. It wasn't quite what I expected. Quite snappy in .380 Auto. Stiff police trigger. Stiff slide. I don't feel like a Bond girl, but it was fun. It didn't feed steel cased HP worth a darn but I got through it with a grin. I liked it best single handed. Would probably try again with some better brass cased FMJ ammo.

  • Newish player here.

I'm trying to set/change my commander's gender to complete "Wardrobe: Gender Change", but the ??? Icon on the ID card is not responding.

Is this a common issue or is there a different way to change the gender?

Try changing your gender from the commander status screen. Go to the main menu then tap on your name. Your gender should be under your commander level

Will I try to get to 300k? We'll see, considering that things will definitely be different at work. I just hope things will be all right!

  • What's the top 3 SF units used in Theater Ranking again? I know Dreamer is #1, but I have this token for a free ringleader from the last event, and I don't know who to spend it on.

    Tareus, Dreamer, and Architect.

Tareus has the highest CE at high petals and also doesn’t get hit by the night penalty as much (so you can put the chip on Dreamer instead). Has less CE at lower petals though, if it’s at day.

    Sweet. Thank you.

    I suppose this is fine

I think I found an alternative card that I can use. I'm glad that the problem has been solved for now. I hope that things will stay fine next month!

  • After reading deep dive on an interpreter(the gfstory one) I can't help but be slightly disappointed at it, as I felt like there were some missing plot(as in, I didn't understand alot of what happened), felt quite messy and I feel like there wasn't enough set up for 40's death to impact me as much as it seems to have for others.

After reading, I searched around this sub and noticed that most people did not have such problems with the story, so I am curious if anybody else shares my opinions, or does the problem lie in my comprehension of the story(in which case I will probably reread deep dive and maybe the stories before too)?

  • I´ll post it here since people might not see it otherwise, but i´m having a ,imo, big technical problem and if someone could help me i would deeply appreciate it. Please.

Nothing you can do besides submitting a ticket and waiting for them to get you unstuck. That map is supposed to have cumulative point rewards for Toy Fairy, but it’s currently broken (the button shows MS+ rewards).

I’m in the same situation and reported it last night, but haven’t heard back yet.

Sorry, remind me how do i submit a ticket again? Can i do it ingame? Is it bug feedback or other option?

I know there is the google doc thing, but when i tried it for the Zas mod i couldn´t send it, because it said the discord id was mandatory and my discord account died long ago due to inactivity.

Edit: i tried ingame just now to send a bug feedback and it says

"you currently have unevaluated tickets, please submit the form exit the current page and click the contact us to enter the evaluation page" and i have no idea what to do cause i havn´t send one since zas mod i think beginning last month.

cont: and when i press the customer support icon (the thing with the headset) it brings me to the zas mod bug that i sent and the last thing there is the message "Dear commander. Thank you for your feedback, our team is aware of this issue and we are working on it right nw. Sorry for the inconvenience." and this was from when they hadn´t fixed part2, and i don´t know if this counts as evaluation. how do i close it. I´m so lost.

    Couple of ways:

    • Google Form is probably the best because it was newly made. For Discord ID, I would just type something like “N/A” or “don’t have” and they should be able to contact through email.
    • Email support@sunborngame.com
    • Ingame through the settings menu, though I’m not sure about the error you’re getting.

The “thank you for your feedback” message is a copypaste/autoreply message so don’t pay much attention to that.

(assuming your side isn´t fixed yet)

Do you think that if they fixed the point ladder that it´s showing up (replacing the MS+ ranking one with the correct one lost in thoughts), we could get "normally" unstuck, since the problem seems to be that we´re trying to get points for a point ladder that "doesn´t exist" and, in theory, it should be showing the wrong one for everyone. Or, even if they fixed that we will have to be "manually rescued"?

(tho, i don´t know which one would be faster)

Still not fixed for me either. I think fixing the point rewards should stop the issue, but we’ll see.

In the very worst case scenario, the maintenance should terminate the map and get us unstuck.

Yeah, i hope the deadline for this issue is the next maintenance, if not that´s a big oof for me.

Ingame the only new thing was getting a new message in the feedback report.

"Dear Commander. We have noticed and located this issue. We will fix the issue as soon as possible. Sorry for your inconvenience.

It is what it is. *shrugs*

Since i didn´t had much to do besides sim. and friend battery collecting, i went and checked the mod story. Still broken, no surprise there.

At least this problem made me rewatch FuryTomic´s videos, since the PL ranking one has the code:3 memes. Have to, at least, get some laughs out of this situation. And i think his gfl1 videos are peak gfl1 content.

Good news, there’s a patch that just fixed it. The map will still be active but you can end it normally.

Yeah. For me it gave defeat as soon as i entered the map, but at least the points counted. Tho, i will focus on GZ for the time being.

We just had a small patch. Did that fix things?

Yes. We are now out of code:3 hell. Thanks.

I managed to close that ticket about the mod and will try to send a bug feedback about this ingame.

edit: managed to send it ingame, i used the new patch bug option on bug feedback, hopefully this gets seen and fixed before RL releases. Until then, i guess i´ll just do the dailies i can, since i can´t finish the thing or farm the gz speq which was what i wanted to be doing today. It´s either hope or rip now.

1 day later edit: I forgot to mention how i passed the "you currently have unevaluated tickets". Apparently, i had to write something(?) after the autoreply message and that popped up a thing to rate the support 1* to 5* and after rating it that closed that ticket and allowed me to send the new one.

(Btw i rated it a 3* since it was about the Zas mod and they fixed "half" of the problem, so it seems only fair.)

Well, this is looking pretty good!

However, I'm running into issues with my bank again. I'm tempted to just use a different bank entirely and sidestep this issue. For now, I'll borrow a relative's card, and while it works, this is not an ideal solution. I'd rather deal with my finances myself, not subject to the judgement of my family

I was able to get through the first wave of the new season of Gray Zone. Huzzah!

I have also broken through the 199k line. I'm excited! I'm now close to 200k!

  • Damn it,I have been going through my life equivalent of Polarized Light and was too busy to rank!

Just when thing loosen up a bit The ranking end without me finishing a single attempt!

Man, that's rough. Still, your real life priorities should come first. I hope that there's a silver lining to this story where you actually settled the problem?

But yeah, Mirror Stage+ was just scheduled at a very inconvenient time. If it had started a week earlier, maybe you could have done better?

That's very good to hear that your problems are almost over now! It also sounds like they're being resolved in a way you like?

  • Whats the best fairy to run for a Scar echelon?

I think it'll still depend on your use case. If you need the echelon to move quickly, the Parachute Fairy will do very well

If you need some early defense, the Shield Fairy will work nicely

If you need some sustained firepower, the Sniper Fairy will help out

If you just need raw firepower from your echelon members, go for the Witch Fairy

Well, I suppose this is decent

I don't quite like the fact that I have to go back to work. I'd really prefer to just stay at home today. I wish I took today off, but oh well. I think that there is value in following my family's advice with regards to storing up my sick leaves. We'll see how things go!

  • Got a pretty lazy ranking attempt in finally. Was nice to just follow a rough outline of what to do to try and hit 600k threshold with my own play. Made it pretty comfortably at 800k despite messing up my supply line and not realizing the enemies got a final turn 6 and losing some VIPs.

It's actually pretty cute how they almost layered the points opportunities so you could opt into more fights or more areas. Still not quite sure why FS % isn't displayed or why the map rules have to be as convoluted as they are with areas opening and closing though. Was able to take a lot more fights than I initially thought since I'm relatively underbuilt especially on the HOC side. Still lost 2-3 fights due to underestimating nodes or not noticing an enemy position, not really sure what enemies call for what types of echelons - basically every time I had asked in the past it came down to stuff like "just copy a video" or something. One of the ones I remember is the 20 maccabee + 3 organ node. I think I threw a weak-ish rfhg at it and got demolished, but M4/iws took it out. Are there any factors you look at in a node that will hint at what comp you'd send against it if you can't just blow through with meta dolls and maxed fairies?

It largely comes down to knowing enemy traits and the comp, then picking counters based on those. For example:

    • Maccabees have very high armor and a damaging skill that ignores evasion (but not armor)
    • Organs ignore armor (but not evasion), prioritize targeting lower-linked units, and deal more damage to lower-linked units.
    • There are only 3 Organs in the back, but many more Maccabees in the front.

From there, the thought process can be something like this:

    • Don’t bring standard ARs since they’ll get stuck on the Maccabees
    • Don’t rely on HGs or standard SMGs for tank since they’ll get shredded by the Maccabees
    • Standard SGs can also get shredded by the Organs, but there are only 3 of those and they’re in the back
    • Therefore, maybe I’ll use RFs to kill the Organs first and then tank the remaining Maccabees with a SG. Ideally, the RFs can nuke the Organs fast (Grape/Kar/etc.) and the SG has a way to mitigate any scratch damage from the Organs (M500/DP12/SAT’s shields, MK3A1’s summons, M870’s forceshield, etc.)
    • I could also look at support HGs, like Makarov to grant evasion to a SG, Welrod for a summon that can distract the Organs, P10c to make SMGs immune to the Maccabees surehit attacks, etc.

Repeat with all other enemies the team is expected to fight and consider any external conditions too (ex: Parachute debuff, HOC support, map buffs, etc.) This is a pretty iterative process and it helps a lot to test in target practice (with or without GFAlarm).

Thanks that breakdown helps a lot. I think I am just heavily lacking a lot of the meta knowledge of fighting the newer enemy types as well as lacking a lot of tools to really make meaningful counterplay around some comps.

I asked a similar question in the discord and got a lot of useful answers there as well, but a lot of the counters were units I didnt have and I think most rankers will have most units and the mid level investment/understanding I am shooting for is not very popular.

Like the other response to your post, it seems like the answer is going to be saving nodes and coming up with very specific counters to a string of enemies for these fixed ranking maps.

I guess I am just a bit frustrated that I'd like to be able to learn how to use my roster well, but the threshold being so low there is just a massive gap between "random bs go" where you can do 1 run, get like top 10% rank and max point threshold then power gap to top 100 where you just perfectly execute the map and no reason to do much of anything between. I probably should just not waste other people's time asking questions about this since the answer is apparent and it seems selfish to not just put in the time to perfectly plan/test specific fights to the degrees the top rankers do but thats just really not very fun to me. Also the map designs dont really facilitate actually using a lot of the units I own (like I asked about smg vs sg tanks and the response was "just use sgs almost all the time" yet I dont have the meta shotguns, and got told to roll more, and like 20 heavy prods later I still have none, so guess I just have to wait a year and a few general rate ups I guess, I knew this going in but it kinda stings to "face reality" that the way I'd like to play is, in fact, kind of pointless)

For what it’s worth, modern rankings are generally seen as having gone downhill between the determinism and enemy comps getting more BS. Doll availability has also been a major issue for years, and it’s unfortunate that they only recently solved it on CN/KR/TW when the game’s going into maintenance mode.

Could be worth giving some of the older rankings a shot, especially Singu+ which is a favorite among people who actually like ranking. Enemies aren’t too crazy and it should give some practice with building echelons for certain sectors + pathing under AP constraints (particularly adapting to randomness and trying to optimize points per action).

I will also note that a a serious complete ranking run (ie killing absolutely everything, no/minimal losses) will generally solve pathing/assignment of echelons kind of side by side with teambuilding.

If only one echelon can go into an area (like area 3 for ms+, bottom side of hq layer), that echelon needs to be able to take every single fight in a row without rest, so you save all those fights and test until you find a solution.

On the other side, you may have deathstack killers who simply have one single job and then can probably take a few other fights in the area afterwards but may need to avoid certain spawns because they can't handle them, and you swap echelons around to fit which can fight what. Iirc PL+ ended up in a long swap chain and very specific echelons had very specific jobs.

For MS+ specifically, the spawns were completely static and each echelon only needed to kill very specific things (maybe even just 1 enemy team a few times). Obviously with the exception of the boss killer and the a3 echelon.

In most other rankings each helipad can spawn a few different teams depending on turn counter (for example 1-3 on turns 1-2, then 4-6 on turns 3-4, etc), and sometimes you just have to swap who takes the later ones.

If you want to get better at solving "how do I deal with this enemy", I recommend going into some of the later campaign maps with a ux difficulty, just saving the required fights to testing and then trying to make a team that can beat all of them. Bonus points for finding less strict solutions (like, scars suomi p10c can kill almost anything outside ranking, but what if you don't let yourself use scars or p10c, how do you solve it now).

Well, I suppose this is decent

I'm now back home. It was a fun vacation with family, although I wish I had some time to rest my body after all that walking we did over the past week! However, I have to report to work tomorrow. Ugh

  • Anyone have documentation for some of the permanent ranking maps? looking specifically for Singularity+, CT+ and Isomer+

The old docs still mostly apply: Singu+, CT+, Iso+.

Only real changes since then are any new dolls/SPEQs, Mobile Armor (completely breaks CT+ and plays a big role in Iso+), some movement priority changes (old Iso+ videos won’t work), and some bug fixes here and there (can’t bean the same bridge twice in Iso+).

  • I've been clearing up Operation Cube and Arctic warfare maps. Everything went smoothly untill I've realized that there is something off: that OTs-14 and Five-seveN does not appear on the drop list of cube. Is there still a way to get them?

When events get added to the campaign, their rewards/drops get nerfed. The limited dolls become unobtainable until MICA decides otherwise, usually through an event or Gray Zone season’s drop pool, or Transfer Letters that you can occasionally buy with gems.

    With that said:

    • OTs-14 will be farmable in the final story event, Quantum Fluctuation
    • Five-Seven will also be obtainable through a Corrupted Heart Mask you get from clearing QF, though it’d be better to use that on TPS instead if you don’t already have her.
    • All limited dolls will eventually become permanently farmable once QF ends and the game moves into maintenance mode. MICA will add a new chapter called Ep.A that has a bunch of farming maps.

When grey zone has then available to drop?

Well, I suppose this could have been worse

I was busy guiding family around the city. That led to a drop in my core farming. Even worse was that we couldn’t go where we wanted to go because the buses were now backlogged. Granted, we decided to go to our destination on a whim when we really should have reserved tickets the night before. At that point, however, we still didn’t feel like going on a several hour bus ride just to do some shopping, but when we finally made up our minds, it was too late to book any kind of reasonable trip for the day

We ended up doing shopping within the city instead of somewhere further away. I suppose it wasn’t too bad!

  • I was looking for advice on how to manage the tdoll contracts as a new player (ie use them immediatelly, save them, etc.). What I often found is "use 4 each day". Isn't it an outdated advice from the time where there was a daily mission to produce 4 tdolls ? Is it still relevant today ?

Even though you no longer have to do 4 doll crafts everyday, it’s still recommended as sort of a “sweet spot” between getting new dolls for gameplay/collection purposes and saving resources for other things.

That said, we do also recommend dropping the number of doll crafts once you have a good enough armory. That’ll let you divert resources to more important areas like fairy crafts, which are extremely important but also more expensive.

Make sure to check out the guides here (or here if the site is slow). These are all still maintained/updated.

  • Why do my Rifle/Handgun echelons keep getting killed?

Can't really answer this question without more details like what dolls are you using, what enemies are you fighting, e.t.c.

    But general advice would be:

*Learn to kite: RF/HG echelons are usually fragile so don't rely on them tanking damage.

*Fight enemies with low evation: due to RF having a much lower ROF than AR's, it'd be really bad if the enemies dodge those shots. Hence why RF/HG are mostly used against armored enemies since they usually can't dodge.

*Use ROF buffing HG: as RF usually have high damage, using dolls that buffs dmg would lead to overkilling, leading to overall DPS loss.

*Use ROF RF: Same reason as above.

*Use piercing RF's: some rifles (Mostly Hanyang mod 3), are capable of piercing damage, allowing you to deal AOE damage.

*just add in an SMG: preferably like Suomi MOD 2. A direct boost to survival.

Do note that these advices aren't rules for the RF/HG, but more like a guideline. So a lot of the advices here could be broken depending in what enemy you're fighting. (Except for kiting. The only reason you shouldn't kite is if you're too lazy to kite.)

Edit: also, beware of the RoF cap! Too much RoF is just as bad as overkilling!

Assuming you're a newer player: early RFHGs are mostly glass cannons, so you'll want to focus on killing enemies before they can hurt you much. There are multiple things to check, including:

    • Making sure dolls have as many dummy links as possible (max is 5 at level 90)
    • Using the right kinds of RFs (usually "self-buffers")
    • Using the right kinds of HGs (usually ones that buff damage output with both their skills and tiles)
    • Using the right equipment (VFLs on RFs)
    • Using a good fairy and raising its rarity as much as possible
    • Kiting to delay enemies

The RFHG guide (mirror) has more detail on all of these, plus some write-ups about other survivability options. If you want any more specific advice, you need to provide more detail about your echelon and what you're fighting.

Technically I'm not new (Level 70, up to Chapter 11), but I'm returning after a long hiatus from the game. Thanks for the tips!

Still, I’m now trying to craft my next batch of Para Fairies. Just as a reminder, I now have 38 Para Fairies maxed out

  • Any recommended dolls to put with the SCAR sisters?

See here for some common partners. Another newer one not listed is MP41mod, who applies massive vulnerability debuffs to enemies (on top of having a smoke grenade and being able to take some hits as an SMG).

Note that while combos like PPK+Px4 will sound good on paper, it’s often better in practice to focus on supporting your tanks instead of the SCARs since the SCARs already do a lot of damage in their own. A common pairing is P10c + TPS/MP41 (+ Suomi as tank), but as always, you may need to switch things up depending on the enemy.

Suomi. Those three can steamroll anything. If you really want to add more, I run PPK and UMP45 with them

  • So Are we still getting any new content besides outfits? Or are we done like Neural Cloud... Look I'm at 1 million parts and it's only going to keep going up

EN still has a decent amount of content to get:

    • 3 new events: Roche Limit (coming in Jan) -> Virtual Pair -> Quantum Fluctuation.
    • 2 rankings: PR+, QF
    • 1 ringleader: Grig (tied to QF)
    • 1 new mod: Tokarev (tied to QF)
    • 3 doll batches + 1 reward doll (16 dolls total)
    • 10+ months of login SPEQs and 8+ new Gray Zone seasons

CN/KR/TW are moving into maintenance mode kind of like PNC though. They’ve been implementing various changes so that there’s less manual upkeep needed.

I actually wonder something about that maintenance mode. Does it mean that some limited dolls will forever be unobtainable at that point, or will there be an alternate method to get them?

CN/KR/TW got a new main chapter called "Ep.A", which lets you farm every single limited doll aside from AR Team, Type97s, and the two newest limiteds (HTI and Chiappa Triple Crown). You can see what the maps look like here.

Besides that, they also made Chapter 15's special gem packages permanent, which includes Transfer Letters for 3*/4*/5* dolls (including HTI/Triple Crown) and Coalition ringleaders. They cost 350/600/1560/2800 gems respectively and have a monthly limit of 3/2/1/1.

Interesting. Thanks for the info. I guess I should try to save as much gems as I can until then.
