The shadow government has captured them. Initially to start their robot bird implementation, but after this caused the procreation crisis of 1893 the shadow government has employed them to only bring children to the females and make them look important.
- What about female animals?
Storks can develope children for nearly every every species, for wich they can't have learned to procreate "asexually", due to lack of other term, or died out. There would be no use for animals to evolve females (and our goddamn sponsors wont let us research them so we cant fucking know for sure) so they are likely a shadow government creation too.
