I am a software engineer so I'd recommend that. AI is not really taking our jobs. But it will take you a long time to upskill in SWE, so take that into account.
maybe that's what OP is doing wrong, OP's lets AI write OP's applications and does so without reading the details of the jobs OP has its AI applying for OP, as OP didn't read the sidebar of this sub where the whole english-only thing is mentioned pretty clearly
All UI/UX people that i know studied it and usually are more of a mix of frontend dev / UI/UX person. But that being said, UI/UX struggles since the rise of AI.
They do ofc count, but since AI people probably trust them less. Like it is pretty easy to fake stuff with AI.
Thank you very much for your reply. Actually, I've never used AI for design. Yes, I know that AI can make you faster, but it doesn't always help me to improve.
Ask yourself: How would you feel if someone would reply to you AI-generated post with an AI-generated answer? I understand that ChatGPT can be helpful to structure your thoughts or give you new ideas. But generating the whole text feels lazy and impersonal.

As others said - bad market for UX designers in general and incredibly bad for juniors in particular.
Advice - even if you use chatgpt at least remove the bolding that gives it away immediately. Looks very low effort and I hope you don’t do the same with your applications.
Thank you. Actually, I didn't create this post entirely using ChatGPT; I just had it correct my text. And no, I don't use any AI at all for my applications.

There was never a big market for UX/UI work. You need to upskill in something that the market needs.
What would you recommend?
I know graphic design, motion design, and also WordPress and Framer.

This is an English-only sub and ChatGPT posts are not allowed either.

Hard to say without seeing anything.

I'm a senior UX,
if you read this sub and UX subreddits, there's a bad market for UX jobs worldwide especially for junior roles. Even seniors are having a bad time.
added: AI can easily do most of UX junior designer responsibilities unfortunately (based on my experience)
Thanks for your reply. Yes, I noticed that too.
As a senior UX/UI designer, what would you recommend, or what should I specialize in?
The irony of this post is that the very tool used to create it has heavily reduced the job chances for many (junior) “UX/UI-designers”.
It was never really a job field with a good job market
