It’s rut season. So many of these guys just walk into oncoming cars.. my son is down a civic this season. I’m down a Mitsubishi. When you have these guys on your property constantly it looses its excitement. Just like turkeys or foxes or mountain lions.
Yes sadly several in our area each year succumb to the highway. Last summer the most beautiful mountain lion was killed and was on the side of the highway for some time. You really have to pay close attention, but in the dark it’s near impossible to see them coming out here. Hurts my heart every time I see one.

Agreed! I live in a very rural area in the Midwest. Just have to watch out for deer in the roads. That can be really bad!
