If the Catholic Church forced anyone in a leadership position out because they were gay the Church would be forced to shut down and if being sinless is a requirement to take communion then they wouldn't be serving anyone in the Church the sacraments! What's happening with the Church?
"Others pointed out the diocese’s hypocrisy in firing Szczepanski, while the church’s previous leader, Rev. Don Geyman, was merely transferred to another parish after being credibly accused of sexual misconduct."
I view churches as nothing more than a source of gossip. In my 20's I took Eleanor Roosevelt's quote to heart. The one about brilliant minds discussing ideas, average minds discussing events, and small minds discussing people. It taught me through practice that you'll have far less drama if you simply don't talk about other people. I'm 40 now, and no one can (or tries) to say that I talk behind their back, nor does anyone come to me to spill their tea, and I'm out of the drama orbit in the workplace entirely too. Now that's what I call a blessing.
Fuck the intolerant! Love one another “for Christ’s sake”. Did you notice the irony? 🤪

So, now, all the church has to do is rewrite their denomination's core beliefs. Good luck with that.
This should be far higher in the article lol.
