Ive had 4 chairs in 5 years and im just about sick of it.

I understand i sit in them wrong (cross legged) but for them to break so fast is inane. my lastest one is a Secret Labs and the Arm rest just broke off.

any recomendations for chairs where i can sit cross legged but also have arm rests i can actually lean on?

  • Check out chairs with a wider seat and adjustable armrests. They’re good for sitting cross-legged and give you some support. Steelcase and herman Miller have some options that might work for you. I usually go to ergonomicchairfinder to find durable ones that aren’t too pricey...

  • After trying several gaming chairs over the years, I switched to the Gabrylley ergonomic chair. It's much more comfortable and flexible, and you don't have the issue of the seat flattening in a few months. The seat is quite large (see the measurements) - you can probably sit cross-legged on it.

Even cheap office ergo chairs are better than any racing gaming chair ever made, good recommendation

  • I can recommend the Athena Pro from Blacklyte. Although I have to mention that I never A/B-tested it the way you sit on it. 😂❤️

My wife just got me this exact chair, it's extremely good!

I have it too I really like it

  • Highly recommend a Herman Miller Embody. Coming from 2 Secret Lab chairs previously.

Who has that kind of money for a chair 😭

My X chair was about that much I think I spent just a touch under 1.8kish USD for the x tech executive model. it's bar none the best chair I've ever owned. 5 years on and it still looks brand new.

Yeah the high end office chairs easily beat out any gaming chair if you can afford one.

I currently have four secret labs chairs, two for me and two for my wife (gaming and work from home setups).

The Embody was $2500 CAD vs. $750 for the Secretlab.

Secretlab has the higher back so headrest is there for people like me who like to learn their head back, height and angle adjustable arm rests, various lockable angles, lumbar support that works, and available in different sizes (I'm a foot taller than my wife) for different people.

I didn't see the point in spending an extra almost $2000/chair. The Secretlab chairs have been flawless for the past three years now (all sofweave though, I don't trust any type of fake leather to not peel long term).

The way OP sits and putting full weight on the arm rest isn't how any chair is designed and all arm rests will likely fail eventually.
