My take on a poop bag holder that uses a snap on lid and a full length slot. No more fishing the end of the bag through a hole!

My only nitpick is that the filament isn’t transparent. My mom would absolutely forget how much is left on the roll if she can’t see it.
Add a negative part to the lid in the form of a slit so that you can see how much is left on the roll.

Now, find a way to protect it from hitting the ground. 90% of these break for me because my border collie decides that squirrel I didnt see should be lunch. Maybe a sewn bag about the feeder?
How well does it handle human poop?
I lost my dog at Easter, about 9 months ago. I still transfer a handful of his new poop-bags from trouser pocket to pocket when changing clothes. Can't bring myself to throw them out.

I like this design; very clean.
I, too, have ventured into the improvement of poop-handling tooling. My dispenser includes these adjustments: - Twist-and-snap-on lid (just the snap lid too often pops off at the daycare, and a full screw is tedious) - TWO keyring slots so that I can zip-tie the dispenser to hang horizontally instead of bouncing around everywhere - Loading slit so that you can do like this model and slide the roll in with the lead bag already unwound - WIDE opening, so I can fish the end of the bag out when my kids inevitably let the bags roll back up into the dispenser - Mount for a small, cheap, mass-market keychain light, so that there’s always a light to find the poop in the dark (and since the dispenser hangs horizontally instead, the light always points toward the dog)

I made one that I can put the dogs name on and a dumb saying on the bottom.
The worst part about poop bags is my inability to open them. I have dry hands and I spend a frustratingly large amount of time trying to open a bag. I hate licking my fingers, I eventually have to resort to it.
It's actually better in winter because i often have my suede gloves which make it effortless.
I wish there was a way like some grocery stores provide bags for their fresh foods section, where pulling one bag automatically opens the next.
I agree with opening bags, there's something awkward with having to lick your fingers when you have poop in front of you

That's a nice holder. The only thing I would consider adding is a tab on the bag-holder that fits the retractable leashes that have a slot for that.

Very cool. Let me ask you this. When you pick up the shit, what then? It should have a little clip on the side to hold the poop bag for you so you don't have to hold it in your hand like a pauper.
