Unfortunately I made the mistake of making a purchase on Epic and ofc they weren't able to send that money back to my card. Now these losers won't let me use that wallet money because every time I go to make a purchase using that wallet money it says there's some issue. Multiple cards and still the same. Support is clueless and just keeps asking me to "wait 24 hours" which I've done and yet nothing. I hate Epic man.

That picture is what drove me up the wall and on this subreddit.

  • well now that you understand that Epig sucks, use steam, GOG, itchio and zoom platform, if you are interested in a exclusive....pirate It!, Timmy Tencent has already paid for your copy LOL

And people wonder why steam dominates the market. With competition like this its hard not to lol

Also I've just read a post where a guy complained about no winter cs event. Epic have it in fortnite but also they have ts 😇

Gotta jingle the keys or the money stops.

The winter event in Fortnite was heavily downgraded, this year is the worst. The highest value reward is locked for the last day of the event, if you miss one day, you can’t claim that ugly skin anymore, gifts don’t stack like they did every year until this one…

  • Charge back with your bank

This. Epic will also do you the favor of banning your account.

    sounds like the perfect solution.

Hold on, Epic will ban your account for using your bank for a charge back?

Most services will ban you for doing a chargeback.

Damn, I did not know that. Guess I am lucky I haven't needed a charge back yet

    yeah even Xbox

Why do you need to convince me twice

    so, it's a win win!

  • Your card obviously expired 18 years after Titanic Sank. Y'aint fooling them!

  • Live and learn, delete the shit and don't look back

  • Lmao you reap what you sow

Man epic are a bunch of bastards but that's not really the consumers fault, they probably just didn't know any bette Now they know and can move somewhere better

  • Maybe theyre planning to destroy the world before 2030 and this is our warning😂 good luck epic support has the mental capacity of a rat used in labotomy research.

...mental capacity of a rat used in lobotomy research.

Now THAT is a vicious metaphor.

  • I'm gaslighting every thread where anyone mentions Epic to claim it doesn't exist (such as saying I still hope Alan Wake 2 makes it to PC some day). One day I will be vindicated.

  • Lmao the excel bug in epic games store, unbelievable

  • ofc, you meant 1930 and its 2026, youre 96y too late

  • My friend lost hes whole account full of games because the email he was using closed its services without him noticing so he cant get the email confirmation code. He showed them bank receipts about the games he bought and all other information he could but they still refused to change the email. Fuck epic!

  • Welcome to the group… now go to Steam, live in the now, buy your games safely there, think about the future with its sales and forget your past with Epig Shit.

  • This sounds illegal to be honest, like literal theft

  • Right accidently just like I accidentally fucked this redhead.

  • Dont pay them 1 cent.

  • Most hated store for a reason.

  • That's funny validation rule. Because in Russia, you can pay with expired Visa/Mastercard cards (within Russia) because the banks automatically prolong your cards without reprinting them. And this validation rule is making things worse.

  • I don't get it.

  • I purchased a whole 2 games on epic because they were exclusive (one of which came to steam later) and honestly I won't ever bother again, I'll honestly just miss out before I give them any more money

  • Try putting in 07/2030

  • Have you tried contacting customer service even once

  • Sometimes he's using the stupid American year/month system instead of month/year. Worse still, Epic's support here in Brazil is good, not the best, but it gets the job done. Epic will always be inferior, and every day they prove they can be even worse.

No like Americans do use month/year for card expiration date, this shows how bad Epic is.

Americans don’t use year month dude.

We only swap the month and day on dates (MM/DD/YY), we don't move the year. The year only comes first in a universally standardized YYYY-MM-DD system which this is obviously not.

This seems like an issue with Epic's form/API, not a localization issue.

That's good to know, I thought it applied to everything. I just didn't understand the downvotes, here and Month/Year; I thought that since the United States has that date system, it should apply to everything there, including that. And it's good to know that someone at least has common sense.

  • American ass date system.

It's month/year for card expiration, i.e July 2030 which is clearly in the future. You would think this would be a solved problem but no, apparently not, here's Epig that still can't tell what month/year a card expires in.

Thanks for correcting me. I mean it's Epic their storefront still a mess despite "planning" for years and do nothing about it comes at absolute no shock whatsoever. For a company that wants to compete in the digital storefront like Steam or GOG, you think they put more effort than just giving out free games to bribe people with.

That's was their entire plan though. They've tried nothing else and are all out of ideas.
