Since a few people have asked here’s the recipe: pat dry and season with salt and pepper a 2-3 pound chuck roast. Sear on medium high heat for 3 minutes a side. Place in crock pot. Top with a stick of unsalted butter and a packet each of ranch seasoning and au jus mix. Surround the roast with one pound of peeled baby carrots (not traditional but I love it) and eight large pepperocini peppers. Cook on high for eight hours (DO NOT OPEN during cook). Shred meat and place pack in crock pot. Add one pound of cooked egg noodles and a splash of the pasta cooking water. Mix thoroughly and enjoy. Should make 5-7 servings.
That feels like such a weird combo. Like, I would eat any 2 ingredients in tandem, sometimes three but the whole thing put together, I can't imagine me ever making.
