I went to college up north, and I am blown away by these fraternity houses.
These are like full-on plantation homes. What the fuck, they're huge
Edit: Not sure what the down votes are about. Anyone who attended a large school in the Northeast, did your school have giant fraternity homes like this?
I went to one of the largest schools in the NE and we didn't have this at all. These are ridiculous. In fact I just looked up the student populations, FSU and the school I went to are pretty much the same.
I'm not talking shit I'm just blown away. I always heard Southern fraternity culture went harder than northern fraternity culture, and I absolutely see it now.
Greek life is much bigger in the South than the NE. You aren’t wrong. Most major NE schools don’t have the same houses. Don’t have football either. Just part of the Southern and to some degree Midwestern culture
This made my day! Reminds me of the first time I went to Tallahassee as a teenager. To this day, my uncle remembers I wanted to see the “frat houses” (actually, it was more the sorority houses that I wanted to check out). Beautiful!
I wish my sorority had a house like this! We’re from a region where none of them had physical houses, despite being Panhellenic. I graduated in 2018 but from what I’ve seen Covid absolutely gutted ours. There were over 100 actives when I was in it, and now it’s basically like 6 friends lol. I have no idea how they still have their charter.
Those buildings are beautiful.
Yup remind the people of the time they were built during. We don’t forget history even though many want to white wash it all
This may be the dumbest thing I’ll read on the internet all day.
lol how old do you think they are?
A lot of those sorority/fraternity houses are old plantation houses..
No they aren’t. Do you think a bunch of plantation owners opted to build their houses next to one another and not on their actual plantation?
You can look up when they were built, these houses were not on plantations.
Oopsy
Some of the architecture is reminiscent of plantations but those homes were primarily built for their current purposes.
Ahh, yes. The 1960s. A time when slavery was rife in both the US and Tallahassee

It's a very large college and the national fraternities put more money proportionately towards them.

It’s basically a cult built on white supremacy.
Oh, well, alright then.
Can't say I had the same experience engaging with fraternity culture in the Northeast lol, But I'll take your word for it
Sorry, I was referring to the ones in the south.
The worst offender is Kappa Alpha Order and their Old South formals. Absolutely disgusting
They are plantation homes that were built by slaves. It's dumb you're getting downvoted for simply not knowing.
I've been to some of these houses. They're not that old.
That's what they're down voting me for? Calling them plantation homes? That's literally the style of the architecture! Lol
Thanks for sharing! Beautiful decorations! 🎄🎄
Thank you!
Try delt, everyone else has...

Fraternities and sororities!!! Early training ground for elitist white supremacists!!!!!!
Probably, but I was just distracted by how "Home Alone" these places all look.
you people are insufferable. Do you just wake up everyday angry at the world? lol
They complain at everything because they have little going for them lol
Rumor has it you were declined even though everyone is guaranteed to be accepted

Point is that if everyone accepted, how can they be white supremacists?
When you have to explain your attempt at humor with “the point is…” then it wasn’t funny.
Hard to see that third letter in the first pic. Deliberate? Your guess is as good as mine.
There’s already a Philanthropic Sorority called Kappa Kappa Kappa, but they go by “Tri Kappa”, for obvious reasons.
The Greek name is clearly written out - in English - in black, against the white house, on the gable just above the front door
Kappa Kappa Gamma.
Lol, of course that’s the Theta Chi house.
Theta Chi is a fraternity.

Ew
Looks like an old southern plantation where they had slaves. Fitting for Florida I suppose.
Yeah the acres of farm land behind them really gives that feeling
Are you a tri delt, or did you just really like their decorations?
I just really liked the decorations!
ZTA erasure.
KD ladies!!
Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄
Which one of these got Bundied?
