Hello!

I am looking for some recommendations from some flashlight experts here lol

For context: I like lights with more throw than flood.

I use my flashlight every day at work for 2 things. Checking an open top trailer full of chicken bones/skins for foreign material? and to see trailer numbers several hundred feet away.

For reference I own:

Convoy T6 SFT-25R (Newest light and I friggin love it!)

Arkfield Ultra (Absolutely detest this light due to its lack of throw and Hotspot)

Sofirn SC13 (Used it for a long time and loved it but needed more throw)

Wuben L50 (Not my favorite but has been great as a helmet light on my hour long bike rides)

RavyVon A3 Gen 4 (Actually love the output for the size).

My Father own a Wurrkos TD01 and Acebeam L19. I think the L19 is friggin amazing and have been eyeing the Acebeam Terminator M1 for like 2 years.

I want a light that out performs the T6 in a similar or slightly larger size.

Any recommendations?

Any cheaper alternatives to the L19 or M1?

What about a waterproof light to replace the Wuben L50 with a similar or slightly larger size?

Any edc sized lights that have more of the "wow" factor? LOL

I've been lurking on this thread for a little bit and your Convoy T6 recommendation was nearly life changing. So much so within an hour of getting it I am posting this wanting more 😅

  • about the M1 I was super hyped about it but when I got it, it just sits at home all the time because it's so bulky and I don't want it to get scratched or get damaged.

If you have access to a 3d printer you can make a protective cap for the aspheric lens.  I combined that with an old flip phone clip-on belt pouch that was previously recommended on this sub for easy daily carry.  This combination keeps the flashlight easily accessible, with only a small protective inconvenience to access the LEP.

  • You could build a Convoy S6 with the SFT-25R, pick the 8A driver for more power vs the 5A that's in the T6. I don't have the T6 to compare but I've read that the reflector is the same or very close in both so throw should be very similar. More light output plus a larger battery if you go that route.

It's also backed by a much bigger battery. 14500s aren't actually very good at delivering 5A, and would run for about 12 minutes if they were.

Next step in the thrower/reflector size is the Convoy M1 and M21B, then C8+ and M21A.

  • I know where you're coming from.

If you're prepared to go a little bigger but still pocket size, then the Sofirn SK1 really is a great thrower for it's size.

  • Sofirn sk30

  • You need an i3t 2. Everyone needs at least 2 or 3 of those lights, with 10440s inside.
