The brass buttons were delivered to me this week, they look AWESOME! They feel very high quality and have a different click sound from the stainless steel ones.

It has the same thread size as the other Convoy buttons, so it should fit any flashlights that have a swappable button, in this case I used the lighted plastic base of the metal button that is sold for the S2+

It looks like the brass circle where you click is a bit smaller than on the SS one, letting more light pass through the silicone around it and creating a bigger inner circle of light.

My brass S2+ looks perfect with this new brass button.

I LOVE Convoy’s non-lit metal buttons. They have the most satisfying action of any switch I’ve used.

That looks 🔥 Unpopular opinion here though... I much prefer the rubber boot for the convoy tail switch 🫣 The feel and click are just so much more satisfying... And the light tail stands without modification 🤷🏻‍♂️ Just sayin' 😅

I find the rubber boot to be a mixed bag, really depends on the switch underneath. I have some lights that have a nice short click, and others I feel like I'm shoving my thumb INSIDE the light before it turns on.

I prefer metal buttons so long as I can tweak them to allow tail standing. Requires a spacer in between the plastic parts. Works on the 20mm switches without much issue, but the 16mm switches is a crapshoot.

Funny you say that, as I honestly find it with the metal switches, that I have to drive them in, whereas all the rubber boot switches I have are a pleasure to press... I've possibly just hit it lucky in the rubber boot switch lottery 🤣

I'll try the tweak on the metal buttons for tail standing... As that is one of the main reasons I eventually swap the metal buttons back to rubber boots 👌🏻 Thanks 👊🏻

Some Convoy flashlights can tail stand with metal buttons, the S21G is an example. I will check this mod on the switch to tail stand, seems like a good mod to do

The SP31V3 has this loooooooong press button, the rubber deforms a lot to reach the switch lol. Usually my Convoys have short clicks, I like them more than long clicks

The rubber button is also very good, but in this light the brass one matches the body perfectly IMO haha
