It honestly wasnt that bad, except for a ddos during arr log 9 which set me back 2 days, i pretty much got them done one after another, though i suspect i just hit a lucky pocket when i started because i pretty much got one after another over the course of 5 or so days
And now you can go buy paintings of all those locations from the painter next to Zhloe and Adkiragh in Idyllshire!

My last SB one is back atop the Kugane tower. I've tried so long to get back up there and can't get it. Its not the light pole one, but the one at the very top of that building. It sucks
That's the one that's keeping me from completing it, too. It's really frustrating.

Two ways to get that:
Do what Hajajaha said and have someone drag you up there using the revive, go into instance, and come back one
Marry someone that's good at the puzzle and you can just warp up there after they get it lol

There is a cheat that works though it’s not simple. Step 1: marry someone who can get to the top. Step 2: use wedding ring teleport. 😜
There is if youre patient and keep joining/leaving solo instances to refresh self destruct.
You can't change instances while climbing the tower, how would that even work

Their point is that someone else can just drag you up there as long as the person cheesing for you has a healer unlocked and you've got blue mage with self-destruct.
You use self-destruct, they rez you as far up the tower as they can, then you load into a solo instance like Ifrit unsynced or something, leave, and now all your cooldowns are reset. They do the actual climb, you self-destruct, they rez you higher.
Repeat until you're at the top. They do all the work, you just blow up several times. I've done it for a friend before, and I'm sure you could just offer some gil or something and one of the peeps who climbs it for fun or to hang out up top would do it.
Oh, I thought you meant like, reset Kugane's instance. I was like, it isn't even instanced anymore lol
They patched out the BLU pole trick a long time ago.

ARR without flying was bad.
I have very un-fond memories of trying to find a guide for one of the weirder jumps in La Noscea, finding Mr Happy's, and then he blathered on for like five minutes before showing the 0.3 second setup and jump. I was so annoyed I have legitimately never watched a single one of his videos since.
ARR sightseeing log made me rage harder than literally anything else in this game and my favorite activity after raiding is fishing.
I too was scorned by Mr. Happy, watched his guide for Gabriel in Bozja and died to a mechanic and enrage that wasn't even mentioned in the video. I'll accept the skill issue on my part, but you watch guides to prepare and I couldn't have prepared for that so I panicked.
ARR WITH flying is bad, it’s all time and weather based so it’s annoying
You get access to the best minion for doing the ARR ones in derp bird.

There is a website that will show you which ARR sights are coming up and where they are. Some pop at the same time. It took me a while to finish them all, but that helped a lot. I have tried and tried to get to the top of the Kugane Tower on my own and almost made it once, but I got the vista when Blue Mage was newish by self-destruct and numerous healers stationed at different heights of the tower.
Yup, sightseeing log helper. This has saved me a few headaches. Used it, and would get to each point five minutes before so I would guarantee my pop.
I’ve literally just unlocked this log. I /lookout that I’ve got a long way to go but will enjoy it.
I have all of these, ARR was the worst before we had flying (and some are still bad now).

I made it a challenge to do the ARR ones before flying because I had worked through the other expacs and had help from my friends for Kugane tower but I did the jump off on my own lol. Every other ones but Kugane I did on my own. I am a horrible jump puzzler but I enjoyed doing my personal ARR challenge. Gratz! Now you have the cute derpy minion :)
Ah nice. I've only done HW SB and ShB cuz I wanted some paintings. Pulled up a guide for ARR and it just seems....annoying.

I just finished the first 20 in ARR (started new character after being away for 5 years), it is brutal.
The only one I have left is the one at the top of Kugane Tower.
I'll get it one day when I'm really bored.
HECK YEAH! NICE! I also did this recently! I think last week? I have a comment somewhere mentioning that I wanted it to stop snowing in the citystates because the Vista's didn't register in em and they were the last ones I needed in the first page of ARR, so a bit before whenever that was posted was when I started.
The ARR ones in particular took me days. One in particular was perpetually opening when I was sleeping until eventually it lined up with my being awake. Others were just several waves of several being open at once so I didn't have chance to grab em all until next window. Wasn't awful but was definitely tedious. Glad I have em all done now.
The rest of the logs were a breeze though. I'd made good progress on basically all of the logs (outside of HW which was lacking) and I'd already done the EW ones as I'd went along during it's story. First time I ever finished an entire SS log 'on content'.
Those ones with the 2 minute (? been a long time, I can't quite remember....but some were very, very short) about killed me when I did it. But we are quite lucky. The addition of flight really did make the ARR ones more bearable to get.
