To me, it's just a broad spectrum, if you wear just one item of women's clothing for non sexual purposes, then you're a femboy, it's often tied to either gender identity or gender expression, but I believe the best way to not stand out too much is to simply wear clothing that is appropriate for the situation, anything that you could see a woman wearing somewhere is what I would consider appropriate clothing, although it also helps to pick clothes based on how they fit on your body, like it wouldn't make much sense to wear clothes that show off the breasts if you don't have any, it will just look weird usually, though maybe that is a matter of opinion.
There's not really a mutually agreed upon categorization. But if femman were to be a real term that ppl used, I would love that. I'm not hugely muscular, but I have enough upper body to throw off the look on most fits
I prefer to refer to the femboys I know as "Fem men" simply cause they are over 18 lol even tho only one of them is muscular
