You can check on the trail conditions here. The hospital trails tend to be groomed frequently and are a good short ride and beginner-friendly. The section of Makwa I posted is well ridden in, but has some overhanging branches and needs some more work clearing heavy brush overhanging and downed trees once you get a few miles north of the Mosquito Brook trailhead. Once Makwa is groomed from OO south to Phipps it will make up part of the Big Fat loop which is a pretty epic ride. I have not ridden Seeley Pass yet from OO to Boedecker, but have heard that it is quite good and is a fun ride.
The next week is going to have some warm days and potential precipitation. After the new year we should get more snow and more typical temps.
