It was NBD for me a couple weeks ago on Farley 5 along with half this sub apparently. You all have excellent taste. Today was absolutely perfect fat biking conditions here in Saranac Lake, NY, in the Adirondacks so we went out at the Fowler’s Crossing trails for an afternoon rip.
Snow looks like white Velcro, thanks for sharing!
It hooked up beautifully.
Looks amazing, perfect way to spend a day!
Thanks! Nature really delivered today.
Just the right amount of snow for a fast ride.
We had 2 feet of powder last week! We still went out but we’re breaking trail the whole way. We had an unexpected storm blow through this week and bring warmer temps, rain, and high winds. It only lasted a day but it took out any ungroomed powder and made today ideal for fat bikes. It’s going to take a week or two for these trails to be any good for skiing though. Especially with all that blow down.
Our before rain depth a bit less than that, but enough to survive and give us a good hard base here. We get snow off Lake Erie here. A bit less than you get from Lake Ontario. Rode frozen snowmobile trails yesterday. Too icy for them, but very fast for studded fat tire biking. There were some bare spots and a bit bumpy in spots. Think we're going to lose most of the snow by New Year Day.
Looks like a decent climb
Definitely some climbing today!
Perfect day!
Saranac and Wilmington are great this time of year.
Do yourself a favor and enjoy that Farley in the bike trails, breaking trail is good 'ol hard fun.
Looks like a good time. I don't have a fat bike (yet) so winter is trip planning skiing and ice climbing. Hopefully we get more snow soon.
