  • You think that's bad. I was in Morrisons the other day and saw a more card offer on beer. With a more card the beer cost twice as much!

EDIT: I posted about it on the Morrisons sub reedit and you should be able to see it if you check my post history.

    I mean...it's called a more card

Morrisons have sadly completely lost the plot since the takeover.

It’s great that the top comment I saw on your post is saying it looks like it was two labels cut together. That it was a single bottle vs multi pack issue, completely ignoring the per liter pricing that was double on the more card label.

    Genius.

I didn't understand that comment either.

  • this isn't even the marketing deal where you could "buy more for less" to entice people into buying more than they need, this is just a straight up nothing burger of a "SALE" sign 😭

Ironically it probably works. Our 9th graders can’t even do simple multiplication tables these days.

    We’re in for dumb times

  • Same energy as online “deals” that were released at that price in the first place. Is it illegal? Yes, in most places. Does anyone do anything about it? No.

  • Yes but you can combine ANY you know, that’s huge, if you’re only regular you might be tempted to buy two of the same, that’d be silly.

  • The picture is misleading, the other items on those shelves likely are more expensive and they can be mixed and matched for a deal.

  • It's not 2 of that particular item for £8. It's any 2 with that label for £8.

So if there are other items included in the offer that cost more than £4 it's still an actual discount.

The curry above is £4.85 per google so indeed.

  • … club card is a loyalty card that is supposed to give discounts across products.

Pssst, I think your description may be incorrect. /s

  • There's an old (probably apocryphal) story of a guy at an early comic book convention that had a bunch of back issues marked 20c each or 4 for a dollar. Most of his sales were 4 for a dollar.
