Woman leaves 1 star review on a non profit charity group in my state because she couldn’t drop off her donation items. It was snowing with icy conditions. Then states she’ll take them to Goodwill.
Her review was so shocking the non-profit made a post calling out the behavior.
What do you think of her reaction?

My faith in humanity somehow sinks lower. and here I was thinking it was already at rock bottom
You still have faith?
It dwindles by the day
Cross post this to r/entitledreviews they’d love it there!
Good idea!!
if only she had given away the clothes before she gave away her brain
And for that, We lose!
If she was able to get there, it sounds like the roads were passable. So without more information, I can't know if she was being unreasonable or the business was closed for no real reason.
There's a store near me that takes any excuse to close. Everything around them will be open, but they'll be closed for "weather," with confused customers constantly pulling up in the parking lot and driving away annoyed. So I don't know if the woman above was being unreasonable or had a legitimate complaint.
She might live close to the store so the drive wasn't difficult for her. But the employees might live farther away or the roads were worse in their area.
She might even live inside the store, under the stairs.
I used to work at a grocery store and there were apartments right next to it so a lot of tenants would walk to the store. Now I lived in a hilly neighborhood so when it snowed bad I couldn't get to the store, but everyone who lived in the apartments could go to the store. Luckily there were other employees who lived in those apartments so they could go work on those days. But imagine if I was the only employee of a small store that was next to apartments. I would bet I would have a few customers very upset that I hadn't risked my life just so they could shop.
Sure, maybe this charity has apartments next door with loads of people walking over all the time to donate. Maybe the lady under the stairs plays bridge with them.
Man that store in your area must really bother you to be this salty.
I'm not the one "extremely infuriated" about a benign review on the internet.
Her response is not ok
It is if your business is closed for no reason. She even checked your website to make sure you would be open, then drove the apparently clear roads to get to you.
You wasted her time. She's entitled to be irritated by that. She doesn't exist to serve you at your whim.
I was unsure about it before, but now it's pretty clear you just took the day off and are now butthurt about getting called out for it.
I don't think OP owns/works for the organization, based on their post description
OP is pretending to be an unrelated party, but it's pretty clear they work there. Nobody else would get this bent out of shape over a negative review, especially one this mild.
TBH I don't really see anything wrong with her response? It's not like she insulted them or used profanity. Sure it was rude, if you read it in that way, but "not ok"? I don't see it.
Those disabled shop owners are so fucking entitled sometimes.
What disabled shop owner?
She has probably never been a volunteer.
Lmfao they do so much for our community. I love that they posted this. You should see the amount of good reviews they’ve gotten so far just from this.
Wrong sub for such a common occurrence
How common something is has no bearing on how infuriating it is? Did you matriculate into middle school?
It’s still appropriate for this sub
Woman. Singular.
MEN
Goodwill isn’t a charity group so that’s prob the only thing that really matters and is worth commenting on
smh just when i thought people couldn't act anymore embarrassing and then this woman pulls this
like honestly self respect
Goodwill is a profitable business..

The place that was closed isn't a Goodwill, that was the reviewer's alternate dropoff.
Seems like half a strory. What’s the context behind the information on the site being different from the info on the door
What? It’s a review….you anti non profit
Noted. But what is the context behind that? What was different on the website vs the door sign?
Not reading that. No excuses for that lady. Karen
There’s clearly more to this story. lol
