I love this game to pieces but it's still deeply flawed from a narrative and gameplay perspective. There is no narrative incentive ever to use any guns that aren't the stun gun. There are no gameplay incentives to use any non-lethals that aren't the stun gun.
Why does wrench carry a legitimate grenade launcher at the end of the game and kill upwards of fifty people? If you play this game nonlethal up to that point it just rips itself to shreds.
Meh the game really focuses on the chill vibe of San Francisco with fun characters and (almost) no drama.
Personally, I think the fact that the story doesn't try to be interesting is a good thing because you don't have to worry about anything. You just take events as they come and do what you want. Pure freedom.
I loved the mad maz game so much!! I love both racing and fighting games, so being able to speed around the desert and then stop to beat the shit out of some guys at their base was so much fun for me
Class of '09. Shitty visual novel but the story line is sorta interesting. Got me emotional although that saying I get emotional somewhat easily now compared to like a year ago lol
Currently, I'll have to say Stone Shard. It's a game whose developers originated from Russia and Ukraine, and had to flee to safety because the invasion and war started very shortly after the game left Alpha release into Beta. They have since managed to resume development, and I have to say that it is one hell of an enjoyable tactical rpg. Just not widely known last I saw.
Alice madness returns, my mom bought me the game bcs I love Alice in wonderland. Then she ask me why the game is so violent... Not to mention I never told her about the traumatizing plot...
Transformers cybertron games. They came out around the time michael bay movies did so people's perception of transformers was "see some boobs and booms then forget" not quite 7 hour long third person shooter about a civil war that killed a planet and people's efforts to escapefrom it
Easily my favourite Game next to FF9 and Fallout New Vegas. But it was Made by George Kamitani and His Team consistently makes banger Games that never sell as much as they deserve.
The Finals. Best shooter ever created - it deserves way more love and players. Completely different genre and playstile instead of the oversaturated and uncreative slop we‘re currently fed by AAA-Studios (f.e.: Call of Duty, Apex, Overwatch, …)
It has some familiar mechanics from the mentioned games but is a completely revolutionary game. MUST TRY - thank me later, you‘ll get hooked)
Wartales is so much fun. Definitely not perfect by any means, but definitely an addictive and immersive gameplay loot. I prefer it over battle brothers any day of the week solely because of the visuals.
The endless games! Endless legend 2 is out now. The first one I thought, while not perfect, was waaaaay more fun than civilization. And the amount of hours I put into endless space 2 was worth it. I really hope they make a third.
A super unknown gem which I've picked up for a few Euros almost a decade ago: Dig or Die.
It's alien sci-fi Terraria with base/tower defense at night. Fun, short, creative, and lets you destroy the world's entire ecosystem to build a hydroelectric mega-base.

I'm gonna be honest I think this is one of the best games Ubisoft ever put out.
