Why is it that the same people that peddle snobbery and hype immediately have to shit on snobbery and hype as they decide to leave? It’s never: “yeah, I’m just tired, so I’ll do something else”. Oh no, it’s always: “I’m suddenly so much better than those other guys, and that is why I’m leaving”. It’s great to be doing product placements and engaging in “influencer culture” until you personally tire of it, and then it’s suddenly so bad you have to point your finger at it and act like you are above it.
It’s almost like even in their departure announcements they can’t stop being pretentious and hypocritical pricks, huh?
I’ve never watched this guys stuff, and I’m glad I didn’t. He sounds utterly insufferable. I cannot stand people who spout the “I did my hobby as a job and now I hate it because other people have opinions” line. How badly am i meant to feel for someone who exposes their “hobby” or “love” to the cess pool that is the internet and realizes it actually takes a certain type to survive that? You thought you were better? Either you can hack it or you cant. Dont blame it on anything else. Just say you can’t hack it anymore and don’t blame it on some other person in ether.
