Probably in retaliation for places like Canada who are trying to make Facebook pay news outlets when people link to an article. They are pulling the old reverse uno. Classify the news outlet as a creator and then they can choose if they value the clicks they get from Facebook or not.
I'm not sure what they consider a "creator". But I have an online store and a related FB page. I post on there a few days a week with links to my products. I guess I'll stop including the links (and maybe stop posting on FB altogether. I have a lot more followers on ig anyway).
