does anyone actually use rta's for mtl?
I'm looking at an mtl focused rta the dead rabbit mtl 2 to get into coil building,
does anyone actually use their rta or am i going to wish i just got an aio or new pod system? thanks.
The dead rabbit v2 mtl rta is good and easy to build on and there is another one from earl Bird called the sparrow some very good comments on that one as well but it is more expensive than the dead rabbit v2 mtl rta
Steamcrave glaz mini was the best i've ever owned. Best goddamn mtl rta in the world. It didnt leak, it was a breeze to rewick/recoil, and it had an extension so you could do either 2ml or 5ml. And it looked sleek, and you could see the cotton to keep an eye on how things were in there.
I bought one years ago and should have bought two. I didnt take good care of it, and ended up burning the pins on the underside.
But good fucking luck getting one. If you manage to find any, get a few extra, ill buy them off you via zelle or paypal or whatever.
I have heard good things about the Dead Rabbit MTL RTA, but have not tried it myself.
The thing about an RTA is that you never have to worry about not being able to get replacement coils. So as long as nothing breaks, it is still as usable as the day that you got it. Though I have quite a few atomizers, I have been using this same MTL RTA for about 5 years now (Kayfun Lite '19). It too may be out of stock, but I wouldn't recommend it as your first MTL RTA anyway cuz it's kinda pricey.
But as long as you're with the little bit of higher maintenance of an RTA compared to using a pod or whatever, the flexibility/customization and the cost-to-run are worth it.
Mtl rtas imo are the closest thing to the feel of a cig you can get. Been using them for almost 15 years and have used many and couldn't use anything else. Dvarw is one of my favs, but still use tanks like the kayfuns, evl reaper, doggy style, etc. I strictly vape a tight mtl single coil at 20 ish watts with 24mg freebase juice. Have to rewick about every 40 to 50 mls of juice which for me is about every 3 weeks to a month . The coils themselves last about 6 months
I used the Vapefly Galaxy (I think that was the name) MTL RDTA for like five or six years.. until this year, when I switched over my MTL juice into a pod.
I still use a mod in my left pocket for DTL but MTL is really nice on some pods. (I went with the Lost Vape Ursa Cap and Cap 2 so my MTL doesn't get lint down the airhole while in my pocket.)
I used RTAs for most of my time at vaping, MTL and otherwise but tbh I am just using a decent pod system by now. Unlike RTA they are lightweight, quick to charge, flavor can be great depending on the model and they usually can do MTL.
I tried to like them for about a yr and half, their a bit high maintenance for myself (flav of with a new build) i found pods a lot easier despite they cost more
Dtl Single Coil is a different story and doesn't need a new build each week, sometimes a decent coil lasts a few months if i clean and rewick it every couple weeks.
No im just saying i realized a Dtl Single coil with 12mg Salt nic at 50-60w ,Aflow cut almost off was a lot less maintenance Cuz a decent dual or tri core 0.3 tri core Clapton doesnt need a new build every week like a single kanthal wire coil often does..But Before Diy what i used to do is mix 1- 30ml of 50mg salt with a 60ml 3mg freebase (90mls total, same brand, same flavor) it comes to 12.5mg of mostly salt ,Safe at 55-65w smooth plus you get good nic satisfaction or a 0.4 with 20-25mg Salt would be safe
Or a pod system with 25-50mg salt is way easier, less maintenance, more consistent but pods naturally cost a bit more than rebuildable atomizers
Salt reacts to Heat/watts so 12mg Salt at 55w feels approx like 20mg does in my pod system. Diy is easier than buying and mixing 2 Bottles of juice believe it or not But if you don't diy that is an option and does work well ,the draw is still pretty tight with the airflow almost Cut off ๐ With a mtl rta i wasnt gettin much flavor accept when the build was first installed but the juice seemed to to turn dark quickly ,sometimes it would get hot if ran a 0.8 where a pod doesn't get hot Nor does a Dtl single coil Rta with a 0.4 0.3
Also a Mesh Rta like the Zeus X mesh i can install and wick those in half the time as coil takes, the sweet spot on those is also 45-55w it needs a new build every 2 weeks or thereabouts but no wires to snip ,no coil to center or tinker with,,fast and easy , (mesh strips are cheap too) great flavor but same deal cut the airflow almost off to Restricted Dtl draw. You basically bend the mesh strip around the provided lil rod into arch, drop it in the clamps, tighten 2 screws and ready to wick (snug) but you could run 20-25mg salt at 40-45w if you wanted and still has good flavor.Mesh doesn't run as hot as a coil so you can just run straight salt nic in it safely, not 50 but 20-25mg would be fine
Check it out on YouTube if your not familiar with mesh Rta's- Zeus X mesh (AliExpress,Temu mesh strips work as the Geekvape ones and cheaper,30 mesh strips is like 7$) but you can also get 10 or 50 but they all fit the Zeus as its the more popular one.
That's just not true on both statements. Rtas were built for mtl vaping before dtl was even a thing, so the best mtl tank is an rta . Also a bigger tank size doesn't make anything worse, I have many rtas that come with multiple tank sizes, 2ml , 3, or 5 ml on the same deck and it vapes exactly the same, it just has a bigger capacity
I used my Kayfun simulacrum exclusively for MTL.
Of course, but go for the Valor instead
I have 3 and only use them. Tried every other before that.
Was looking at both, why do you say go for the Valor?
Yes. I have an original Vandyvape Berserker MTL.

literally 5min into watching vaping began's review on that๐
I have a reload MTL that I use for MTL when I feel like MTL vaping.
yes. dwarv rta is a mtl rta.
Kayfun plus v2
I just got my first aio so have been using just it but I have 3 dr mtl v2 that I have used for awhile. IMO they are excellent.
If I'm not cloud chasing on a mech, I exclusively vape mtl rtas, specifically the dead rabbit mtl v2
I still use Bishop v1
There are specific mtl rta.

everyone seems to recommend tanks that are out of stock. isn't the hellvape deadrabbit good enough?

yes, but make sure it's the mtl v2

I would suggest getting a sqounk set up it's the best of both worlds
Isn't the only benefit of that capacity and rdta's? 4ml is enough for me.

Some people swear by Mtl Rta's
are you suggesting that i get a bigger tank for mtl or salt nic?

No he's saying RTAs are better suited for DTL. A bigger tank will make MTL worse.
