• Try buying breast forms!!! I did this pre hrt and it helped soooo much to alleviate chest dysphoria and everything. It can be a bit difficult to search for them and to find a good pair, but if you just search mastectomy breast forms you should find some good ones. I got mine off amazon but I’m sure there’s a bunch of other places you could look. Good luck girl!!!

I'll look into but I'm still quite closeted about this stuff though so I'll have to hide them somewhere when I end up buying them. *edit* I'm only out to one friend about this as they went through the same feelings I went through when it comes to identity.

  • Breast forms are great, but can be expensive depending on budget. Cheap and effective option I suggest buy some nylons, fill with dried rice, and tie it off. You can experiment a bit with size (amount of rice), firmness (doubling or tripling over the nylon once it’s filled), and the knot you tie it off with provides a pseudo-nipple.

Also as you are closeted if found and questioned about them, they’re some home made re-useable heating/cooling pads. To further sell it, keep the ones you don’t like in the freezer.

Would a spare pair of tights work as the shops I live buy sell packs of tights, I'm thinking that could also work in a way.

Yep tights should work too, there just would be more extra fabric to trim off at the end

  • What size are you going for?

The OG way of balling up some socks or underwear work but are a bit firm. You could also look into thick bra paddings and put it in the bra. (Not sure how great these are as I haven't tried them yet) Also don't know if a brick and mortar store sells them or if they are like only found online.

I'm going for an A or B since I wanna match it to what I'll most likely get when I get on hrt later on.

  • I just acquired a few sports bras with removable padding, took 3 per side and stacked them so it looks like I have small boobs when wearing a Tshirt. But breast forms are a great option since they can be larger size and not look fake.

  • i always just use socks personally, it's not exactly realistic when you've got nothing else on, but underneath a shirt it's pretty convincing tbh

I just tried the sock method earlier, it deffo looks convincing. This is the happiest I've felt like I'm showing like a genuine smile for once :)

  • Roll up socks and stuff em in there. It's not perfect, but people are likely not gonna notice. Padded bras are also great; before I was able to afford some breast forms that's what I relied on. They can't make you have massive badonkadonks or anything, but they can enhance the shape a bit

  • A cheap and quick option is using a sock, just fold them and use it as a padding, but yeah a real breast insert/padding would look and feel better.

  • One small tip to add: removable padding or light mastectomy inserts in an A or small B size usually look more natural under everyday clothes than overstuffing. Softer materials help with shape and movement, and sticking to subtle sizing keeps it believable and comfy.

  • I'm happy for you op but what is this color scheme?

my mind went to butcher vanity after seeing that color scheme

I just booted up photoshop then went with my gut tbh haha

  • I’ve found that the best way to pad a sports bra is with oodles of estradiol. :)

The estradiol will have to come later so I'll need to work what I have
