Chatting with a friend I’ve come up with 3 potential weapon balls, and I’d like to share them all with you to get feedback.
First up, Handgun
Handgun fires a shot in a straight line similar to bow, each time a shot lands damage grows by 1 and the speed increases 1. Shots will disappear when they hit the wall. Notably, the shots fire from the tip of the gun, making Handgun completely defenseless aside from a lucky parry if someone gets up close. I see them being weak to classics like Sword and Unarmed, while being strong against Dagger and similar balls.
Next, we have Fencer
Fencer scales uniquely, starting at 0 and scaling 0.3 off each time the sword’s tip strikes the wall, but not when Fencer’s sword strikes another weaponball. This allows Fencer to play more passively and scale up, forcing other balls to be more aggressive to our scale Fencer. I see them being weak to Grimoire and Hammer, while strong against Scythe and Shield.
Up last is Boxer.
Boxer scales at 0.5 in 2 stats: Damage and Distance. When Boxer hits another ball, they will bounce backwards a specific distance before returning to their previous direction of movement. This creates a boomerang-like effect, where Boxer pushes themself back before rushing in for another hit. I see them being weak to Laser and Katana, while strong Unarmed and Splodey.
These are my first ever weapon ball concepts, tell me if you like them, how balanced they would be, and if you’d like to see more from me! Maybe I’ll throw in some concepts from friends next time aswell.

I thought you were insane then I read body text
There actually is a handgun ball from another popular account, specifically Revolver from @heaven.metronom , I love their content but they unfortunately randomly stopped posting
Imagine being a revolver fan
I'd call fencer "rapier" and boxer "glove" since the weaponballs are named after weapons and not the people that use those weapons
I think to separate Gun from some of the other ranged options, the bullets should ricochet for a bit
I think that Rapier should have a slightly different effect, since Rapiers are a fencer's weapon. Whenever they clash with another weapon, they gain 1/3rd of the stacks of their opponent. This prevents a potentially degenerate interaction where against a scaling ball they can bounce on walls and become Midrange Slammy. Instead, the Weaponball would be unique, where it's designed to fight other WEAPONBALLS, by being rewarded for fighting with skill. This means it would become a Brawler, actively getting hit to make itself stronger...

Could you imagine the hype of parrying a +30 Lance, watching them get +10 Damage and then finishing a fight with a thrust?
This is actually a peak idea thanks
