This is reddit, so I know there's a very real chance that I'm in the minority not having any idea until now what a sand bath is, and that gerbils take them. I do, however, already know how to make mouse crack stew, and it's delicious.
Quality is the key. After that, it's just a few fundamentals:
- 3 cups of cooking liquid, great occasion to make that turkey stock
- any Taco Bell sauce packets you've got around
- make the mouse smoke the crack first; more humane, better distribution of flavor
