Hello,

My wife is a Type 1 diabetic and uses the Ypsomed pump alongside the mylife app, Freestyle Libre 3 app, and CamAPS FX.

She currently has a Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus, but she’s having ongoing signal issues and needs a new phone. I’d like to get her something reliable and decent, but my last attempt (a OnePlus Nord) turned out not to be compatible with her diabetic apps.

She isn’t particularly tech-savvy, so ease of use and app compatibility are really important, but I do want to get her a good phone with a decent camera.

Would a Google Pixel 9 Pro be compatible with these apps? Does anyone here use this phone and able to use the apps without issue?

Alternatively, are there any other phones you’d recommend that work well with all the apps needed that equally doesn't break the bank?

Any help would be much appreciated — thanks!

  • pixel will work.

I have pixel 7, daughter has pixel 8a. Both fine.

Iphone is now comptabile - I would seriously consider one of them. Less updates, last longer, better value long term.

I think the main thing is ensuring the bluetooth works, and any modern phone should be fine.

    Thank you,

We have considered an iPhone, always been android but it might be an option.
