or is it something im not aware of, have the nba restricted the amount of highlights a specific team can show of their own? Why such a drastic downfall in content per video
It seems like every team's Youtube channel stopped uploading those 10 min-ish highlights of their own teams after the 1st or 2nd week of this season for some reason. Instead, official NBA channel lifted the region restriction on game highlights for overseas fans and sometimes upload extended version 20 min highlights.
So... I think the league office wants all the clicks/views/engagements towards their main channel.
Don’t blame the highlights guy, please. I believe the NBA is only granting non-league entities 2 minute highlights for each game, and that may well extend internally as well as a push towards a larger unified picture.
But also yeah highlight reels from the NBA value dunks WAAAY too much. We'll see a once in a month assist get the #9 spot in the daily top 10 behind 8 mediocre dunks and blocks.
