Hello everyone, we believe you also find it difficult to find a suitable cell phone for users with dementia patients. Therefore, we are currently developing a cell phone suitable for people with demantia patients or memory loss. We hope that this phone can meet the daily needs of these specific groups of people, and we also hope that you can share any good opinions or suggestions to improve the phone. We will give them serious consideration.

thanks in advance for your sharing.

Brief introduction:

  • Cell phone name: simplest picture button cell phone
  • Network: 4G VoLTE (in US compatible with T-Mobile network)
  • Charging method: with a big charging dock
  • SOS button: YES and have support ICE information
  • Remote control: Multiple settings can be configured via SMS commands. like create a new contact, set a alarm reminder, set to do list, and etc
  • Before I go into a long detailed post, have you read or learned anything about accessible UI design? Not just for dementia but the possible disabilities that are normal to aging?

  • Most of the people with advanced dementia did not grow up using cell phones. They don't remember what a cell phone or smart phone is, let alone how to use one. They won't charge it because they won't remember how or why. They will not be able to learn how to use it or retain that skill. Maybe in another few decades you might find people with dementia that have cell/smart phone muscle memory, and maybe then something like this could help. Just being realistic.
