My grandparents who both have dementia and are going into a home next year have remebered it's Christmas and called us to wish us well...about eight times, forgetting the previous seven times they'd called.
My grandpa has sung carols down the phone each time and they are overjoyed we are taking them to our house on boxing day (every single time we tell them lol.*)
*They did enjoy coming on boxing day last year, but this will be the last time we have them over most likely.
Really sweet lapses OP, we hear so many negative, it's nice to hear something sweet!
Yeah my dad was getting annoyed because its been 10 times now lol but this is far better than them anxiety calling us about their car/bank cards/going home.
(We do have boundaries with how often we will answer normally but its Christmas and I like hearing them so happy.)
Agreed nice to hear that they are happy.
My grandad is apparently calling up everyone in the family whoes phone number he's got hold of to sing carols at them and wish them a happy christmas repetedly lol. XD
That's really pretty adorable.
My grandad may think I am still in school sometimes (I am 29) but always tells me he loves me on the phone and how good I am.
